The Bernini house is a well-refined apartment at the first floor of a very elegant period building just renovated. The apartment is outside the ZTL and can be easily reached by car. Parking is also very convenient with free parking spaces on the street or in a paid private garage.

It is located on the mezzanine floor and there are 10 steps to climb on foot to enter the apartment.

The apartment was completely renovated in March 2012 and is composed of two bedrooms with double bed, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room with double sofa bed (max 6 people - 75 sqm).

The apartment is equipped with washing machine and dryer, the kitchen has refrigerator and everything you need to cook and eat.
All rooms are equipped with Internet WiFi, TV, Air Conditioning / Heating
The apartment comes complete with linen and towels for all guests.

An amazing view of the Bernini's famous colonnade of Saint Peter's Square - which you can enjoy directly from your room or the living rooms - fills the atmosphere

Time for 3 days

Property looked much better in the listing. Two out of three AC units did not work. Washer/dryer combo was a huge pain to operate. The location was convenient to the Vatican City and bus route. Driver a to and from the property were great!

Great apartment in great location

Apartment was comfortable and perfect for our two day trip to Rome. Most of our trip was spent walking and touring Rome so the apartment was perfect for crashing after a long day. Neighborhood was quiet, and very close to stores, restaurants and the Vatican

Good spot near Vatican

The host was wonderful and helped us arrange a wonderful transportation service to from airport, and then to the train station which was hugely appreciated and relieved a lot of stress for us. The apartment is in a great location near the Vatican, and very functional, however a bit run down for sure. Also the "living room" furniture was not what was pictured in the photos online. The furniture definitely needs a refresh in the main living area. This is a great, functional apartment with a great host, if you are looking for luxury this isn't it, but this met all of our needs. There is also a little market right across the street which was immensely convenient, and several great restaurants and cafes along the same street. With a few updates and a refresh this could be a really great spot.

Great Location, Great Value

We had a great stay in Rome thanks to the Bernini House Apartment. This apartment is for you if you want nice place near the Vatican. It’s not luxury or high end, but for the price you are getting a nice place that is comfortable with up to six people. Best of all for summer- the AC works great! The Vatican and San Pietro Train Station are just 5 minutes walk. There are several decent restaurants within a block and a good sized supermarket just 5 minute walk. The neighborhood feels more like living in Rome than the tourist areas even as close as it is to the Vatican. Piazza Navona is an easy and scenic 20 minute walk. It really is a good location for touring. I picked this location particularly due to having booked an early morning Vatican tour and I would highly recommend such an approach. You can get in and through the highlights with reduced crowds. The hosts were helpful and easy to work with. I would definitely book with them again. As long as you aren’t looking for a luxury hotel with lots of extra amenities, this apartment will be great for you.

Condition of the properly

The area is close to the Vatican but the area is not clean. The apt was very dated., not particularly clean, no soap in the bathrooms and I had to purchase toilet paper. I wouldn't stay there again.
