HILTON HEAD ISLAND. Main Sail – a luxurious villa complex on Hilton Head Island overlooking Shelter Cove Marina in Palmetto Dunes resort. Each villa features water views from almost every room, screened porch, two master suites, and many upgrades.

A private gated entrance leads to the centrally located Main Sail complex with beautifully landscaped grounds. Amenities include an expansive adult pool and spa, children’s wading pool, and grilling area. Enjoy strolling the extensive walkways around Shelter Cove Marina, which offers an array of wonderful restaurants and shops. Convenient bike paths lead to the beach in Palmetto Dunes. Main Sail also has elevators to all floors.

This beautiful Hilton Head villa offers great harbor. The entry features tile flooring and an eat-in bar for three. Off the kitchen is a dining area for six and a living area with flat screen TV, sliding glass door to a screened porch overlooking the harbor.

This great villa boasts two master suites. The first has a king bed, flat screen TV, door to the balcony, walk-in closet, and a private bath with jetted tub and separate shower. The second master has a king, flat screen TV, walk-in closet, sitting area off the bedroom and a private bath with jetted tub and separate shower. A laundry room is located off of the entry with a full size washer and dryer.

This fabulous villa is wonderfully equipped to meet all of your vacation needs.

A fantastic location located in the heart of Shelter Cove. Lots to do within walking distance. This was our second time in Mainsail but first time in unit 304. Pros of unit- comfortable mattresses and ideal for two couples or a family of four. Kitchen was well stocked with any and all cooking needs. Washer and dryer were new. TVs in all rooms were good quality with strong Wi-Fi connection. Cons- The quality of bedding and towels were two star. Oversized and too many furnishings that served no purpose. A bit of a mish mosh. Refrigerator seems to be in its last legs. Set on maximum cold for both fridge and freezer. Ice maker did not work and water dispenser was broken. Slider from family room to patio was inoperable. We needed to use a bedroom as a patio entry point. Many light fixtures without bulbs and remotes without batteries. One of the dressers had majority of pulls broken off. Only one drawer could be open. Carpeting throughout is heavily stained. Water taps may need descaling.

We enjoyed our visit to Hilton Head as usual. We have stayed in many Main Sail units, and this one did not compare. The carpet is stained and very much a turn-off. Vinyl or tile is much more sanitary. There is too much random furniture that served no purpose….tables without lamps which leads to very poor reading light. The large bedroom dresses drawers have most handles missing. We were not able to hang much clothing because there were only 4 hangers. The sliding door in the living room was nearly impossible to use because it is VERY difficult to close. We had to carry everything through the bedroom. The oversized furniture in there makes the room very tight. There appears to be a very new washer/ dryer which were very nice. However the washing machine lid cannot be opened all the way and kept open because it hits the overhead cabinet. I would think that this could lead to mold. Nothing was a big deal, but overall it is not an attractive unit. White , plastic drawers remind me of a dorm room.

Love staying at Main Sail, but disappointed with the unit this year. The ice machine was broken, repairman came and said he repaired it but it still didn’t work. Called office and they said they would send someone back but that never happened. Unit was “tired” looking. Needs a good dusting. Probably won’t try to rent unit next year.

Island Getaway dropped the ball a couple times. Reported problems which were not addressed in a timely matter or completed. Extended our stay by one day, new door code not sent, therefore, was locked out. Unit needs several minor repairs. Towel racks missing, holes in the walls where racks are missing, dresser drawer handles missing, lightbulbs need replaced and screened porch fan not working. A fan was ordered but we decided not to have it replaced while we were there. The unit needs a little TLC. Not sure how I feel about renting from Island Getaway again. Service was not good. On the plus side, the unit has a great harbor view and comfortable furniture.

Stayed in numerous Mainsail suites and found this one lacking. The Bed blankets torn, door to patio will not lock, glass window seal in master bedroom broke causing constant condensation,stove top is a mess and needs replaced and ice dispenser on refrigerator door did not work. All previous condos have been excellent the past 8 years but very disappointed in this facility.

My stay at 304 Mainsail was very nice. It was a very clean unit, and stocked with everything I needed in the kitchen. The area is a great place if you want to get away and rest, or enjoy the shops and music at night. I am planning on coming back to Shelter Cove.
