Great getaway

Nice villa with gorgeous view of Lake Garda! If not renting a car, be prepared for a 10-15 minute walk from the main part of town. Be sure to take the ferry to visit other lake towns. Views are breathtaking!

Thank you Melissa. It’ s correct your comment about reaching the center of Gargnano. As a matter of fact there are 105 steps to go down to the lake beaches and 10/15 minutes to reach the center of Gargnano. May be considered a good exercise!

Nice located, but wet

The communication with the agency was very good and also the owner was very kind. The house is located in a nice little village with a spectacular view to the sea from the terrace. Unfortunately, the house had a big humidity problem when we were there and black mold was overpainted and in some parts still there. We claimed this with the owner and the agency and wanted to change the house but both agency and owner told us, that they think the problem is not so serious to refund the rent. As a result, we moved from the house after 1 night but paid the rent for the whole week. However, the owner seemed to hired immediately craftsmen to fix the problem on the day of our departure, which I hope he did. Nevertheless, the situation was a disappointment.

Unfortunately that was the first occupation of the house after the winter shutdown and as a matter of fact there were some humidity problems disappearing with the occupation and ventilation of the house. Moreover we had repair work carried out to eliminate some infiltration of rain. Last for correctness of information Carlos , his family and two dogs didn’t leave after one day, but remained in the house the whole week of their reservation.

Geräumiges Haus am See

Ein schönes und einladendes Haus mit wunderschönem Seeblick erwartete uns. Der sehr fürsorgliche Vermieter hat umfangreich mit uns kommuniziert und uns den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gestaltet. Der Weg zum Haus war länger als gedacht und wenig beleuchtet, was im Zeitalter von Handys abends jedoch kein echtes Problem war. Auch dem Bewuchs auf dem Weg haben wir etwas Einhalt geboten. Alles in allem ein richtig schöner Urlaub ☺️

Een huisje met prachtig uitzicht waar eigenlijk een airco in thuis hoort daar de plafond ventilatoren naar onze beleving niet voldeden. Het was te warm de nacht door te komen. Beneden was er een matige slaapbank. (misschien vervangen voor een vast bed).

Ontspannen vakantie op een schitterende locatie

Het vakantiehuis voldeed volledig aan onze verwachtingen. Het padje van de parkeerplaats tot aan het huis was ook heel charmant. We hebben er een fijne vakantie gehad. Één klein puntje van kritiek: airco in de woning zou heel handig zijn. De ventilatoren aan het plafond in de slaapkamers brachten een beetje afkoeling, maar het bleef warm. Al bij al een aanrader!

Hund und Zugangsweg nicht ganz okay

Der Nachbar ist kein Hundefreund. Die Grundstücke sind nicht baulich getrennt. Dies führte wohl schon des öfteren zu Problemen und wurde uns von dem Nachbarn direkt am ersten Abend angemahnt. Am besten also nur mit älteren gut erzogenen ruhigerem Hund anreisen und eine Balkonbarriere bauen damit der Hund die Reviergrenze erkennt.. Der Zugangsweg vom Parkplatz zum Ferienhaus war im hinteren drittel unbeleuchtet und stark zugewachsen mit teilweise stark defekten Treppenstufen... Ebenso der Weg hinunter zum Seeufer. HIer sollte man also gut und sicher zu Fuß sein. Man brauchte zwar noch keine Machete um durch zu kommen aber gebücktes gehen war stellenweise angesagt. Das Objekt an sich war top und wie in der Anzeige veschrieben. vg

Perfekte Lage in sehr schöner Umgebung

„La terrazza sul Lago in der Residenz Oliveto“ ist ein sehr schönes Ferienhäuschen, in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Terrasse und der Blick auf den See sind wirklich toll und haben auf jeden Fall zur Erholung beigetragen. Das Haus bietet Platz für bis zu 6 Personen, wobei das Schlafsofa im Untergeschoss etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist und nicht den besten Liegekomfort hat. Für unsere Kinder hat es aber gepasst. Obwohl es sehr warm war, hat uns die Klimaanlage nicht gefehlt. Für uns haben die Deckenventilatoren in den Schlafräumen vollkommen ausgereicht. Eine Zugangsstelle zum See ist über einen Fußweg (Treppen) in rund 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Der öffentliche Strand liegt zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten entfernt. Dieser liegt sehr schön und bietet auf der angrenzenden Wiese reichlich Schattenplätze unter den Olivenbäumen. Uns hat Gargnano sehr gut gefallen. Zum kleinen Hafen läuft man rund 15-20 Minuten. Hier geht es beschaulich zu. Es gibt jedoch reichlich Auswahl an guten Restaurants, einen Bäcker, einen Metzger, einen Obst- und Gemüseladen, zwei Käse/Weinhändler und einen sehr kleinen „Tante Emma Laden„. Für größere Einkäufe sind wir nach Maderno gefahren. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft empfehlen. Einzig die Auflagen für die Terrassenstühle sollten mal ausgetauscht werden.

Thank you so much Anja for your very detailed feed-back. I have taken into account your advice about the cushions for the garden chairs, which I have ordered new. Some of the past guests had not taken care of them properly during rain storms. As for the sofa bed you were perfectly right and as a matter of fact a new matress had been ordered already which unfortunately you missed due to a late delivery.
