Entering Istria from the northwest, the first place you will come across is Salvore, located on the tip of the peninsula of the same name. This small fishing village has a rather rich history. Its name is in fact mentioned for the first time already in the 12th century, while, according to the archaeological remains found in the surroundings, this territory would have been inhabited since the Stone Age.
The area of Savudrija which includes Zambratija, Basanija, Borozija and Savudrija, is located in the north of the Istrian region, between the Italian city of Trieste and the Croatian city of Umag. In and around the fishing village of Savudrija you will find many attractions such as the famous Savudrija lighthouse.
Its jagged and mostly rocky coastline is characterized by numerous small sandy beaches and is surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation rich in laurel trees, palm trees, different species of evergreen shrubs, pines and cypresses. Thanks to the air that is breathed in this area, with an ideal concentration of vegetable and marine aerosols, the climate of Salvore is able to stimulate and promote physical well-being. This characteristic was known already in the Austro-Hungarian era. On the other hand, the tourism of this locality was originally developed in the realm of well-being.

Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett. Die Wohnung ist leider nicht empfehlenswert. Angezeigt ist, dass sie klimatisiert wäre. Leider ist nur das Wohnzimmer mit der Küche klimatisiert. Der Anbau mit den zwei Kinderzimmern ist nicht klimatisiert und heizt sich bei Hitze auch schnell auf und kühlt sich auch nachts nicht ab. Die Betten der Kinder waren hart. Das Kinder Zimmer hinter dem Anbau hat kein Fenster nach außen und ist von dem anderen Zimmer durch eine Wand getrennt. Daher findet hier kaum Lüftung statt. Bei Starkregen regnet es in den Anbau hinein, wir standen zwei Nächte hinter einander mit Töpfen im Anbau. Die Kaffeemaschine funktionierte nicht. In der Küche steht eine abgeschlossene Gefriertruhe vom Vermieter. Wir hatten nur ein kleines Gefrierfach. Die Küche hatte kein Fenster und das Wasser vom Spülbecken läuft unter das Haus ab, welches auf Stelzen steht. Es ist nicht an den Kanal angeschlossen. Gerade Mal ein Meter vom Meer entfernt. Der Balkon war Mini nur mit zwei Personen bestzbar, die Aussicht war gut. Das Wohnzimmer ist sehr dunkel, weil kein Fenster nach außen vorhanden ist, sondern nur eine Tür in den Anbau. Es stehen alte Möbel im Wohnzimmer, die voller unnötiger Sachen sind. Man hat den Eindruck, dass hier alles ehemalige Zeug des Vermieters eingeräumt wurde.. Im Elternschlafzimmer roch es muffig und der Kleiderschrank war von diesem Geruch besonders betroffen und war beschädigt, so ließen wir unsere Sachen im Koffer. Insgesamt war die Wohnung nicht gut verarbeitet. Im Bad, dass neu war, war kein Anschluss von der Türzarge zu den Fliesen vorhanden, somit konnte man auf den Bauschaum mit Stahlamierung sehen. Wie diese Wohnung vier Sterne hatte, war uns ein Rätsel.
