About this property
Host & Stay | The Nook
Summary:
Originally built in 1862, The Nook is filled with character and history. Once used as the stable boy’s accommodation, this stunning bolthole has been transformed with a full luxury renovation. Located in the popular town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, The Nook is ideal for families and groups of friends who are looking for a relaxing coastal escape. With modern, premium interior styling and sleeping up to six guests across two bedrooms, this property really has to be seen to be believed.
The Space:
Upon entering The Nook you’ll be wowed by the impressive interiors!
Head up the stairs and you’ll find yourself in the large open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Light floods in from the roof lantern, full height corner window and large Juliette balcony. Relax on the grey, corner sofa with a good book or switch on the flat screen TV to have your pick of the channels on Sky. Lose track of time as you sit at the cosy table nestled in the balcony area. Nothing beats opening the bi-fold doors and listening to the waves in the distance.
The main dining area is for spending time with your loved ones. Whether you’re ordering a takeaway or you’ve cooked up a storm in the kitchen, gather everyone together and enjoy conversations and laughter over delicious food.
Tucked away at the other end of the room, you’ll find the kitchen. With dark blue walls and matching kitchen cupboards, this distinctive space feels cosy and atmospheric. Not only beautiful, the kitchen is fully equipped so you’ll have everything you need for your self-catering stay.
Completely unique to the cottage, the first bedroom has been transformed with a bespoke feature wall made wood stained tongue and groove cladding. Enjoy a rested night’s sleep in the comfy King size bed which was originally made with spare roof joists. The room is complete with an upcycled chest of drawers and cosy chair. With a seriously tranquil feel, you won’t want to leave this space!
Dark walls and mood lighting create a striking look in the bathroom. If you want to unwind, enjoy a long soak in the large free-standing bathtub.
The second bedroom is a fun and eccentric space complete with custom made double bunk beds. Perfect for adults and children, this room will instantly make you smile. You’ll also spot a few more of The Nook’s trademark quirky furnishings in here too!
The second bathroom has a monochrome look. Boasting a large walk in shower and modern vanity unit, it is another luxury spot within the cottage.
Head outside and you’ll find a gorgeous terrace area. With lush greenery and a large table and chairs, this space is ideal for entertaining friends and family. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy evening meals and alfresco lunches.
