The minute we walked on the property we knew this would provide the relaxation we needed. Our condo was superbly decorated and i could easily see us living there comfortably. There was everything we needed and more. A beautiful view of the ocean and Black Rock. Easy walking to many eateries and shops. We definitely recommend!!

Perfect Location

Perfect location with a beautiful view to watch the whales right from the balcony. Smaller pool but never an issue with chairs, can watch all the activity from there. Condo has a nice kitchen with all the basics that you need, along a with comfortable king sized bed. We enjoyed our stay.

This place is even more than I expected! I have been staying in Maui 1-2 times a year for 18 yrs and this had been the best place yet! Communication was spot on.. especially when I had a few questions, Stephanie got right back to me. I love having 2 bathrooms! The view and lanai was large and incredible! The condo had more than everything we needed!!! I could go on and on… we will be back next year

Nice place. Loved the full condo AC. Great views from the balcony. Actually saw some whales. Great location right on the beach. Parking could be a pain but we always found a spot (last one). Nice to have the Whaler Village close by. We thought the couch was not very comfortable but we were never there very long. Would highly recommend.

OMG, where do I begin?!! Definitely 5+ Star Accomodation, so roomy, so elegant, best view ever of ocean and Black Rock! Just a short stroll to the Whalers Village Mall for food, drink, ABC Store! The Lanai includes a table and chairs, beach chairs, loungers, just WOW!!! The kitchen has everything!!! We prepared most of our meals right here! I will return to this condo again, our new favorite!!! We loved hearing the ocean waves through the night, great sleep on an amazing mattress! You can't go wrong booking your stay here? Love, love, love!

This property is just as advertised. Loved the Hawaiian decor and beautiful artwork. Condo was extremely clean, and well stocked with supplies. Really liked all the light dimmers-over the stove, dining room table and bedroom lamps. Appreciated all the nightlights throughout. Lots of comfortable furniture on balcony to enjoy the view. Loved having front loading washer and dryer in unit, as I was traveling with my son. Owner was wonderful to work with, and very accommodating. Looking forward to renting same property in the future.

We had a lovely stay in 312 and would (and hopefully will) book again in a heartbeat. We have stayed at Whaler before, but was hard with one bathroom. This unit was just what we needed with 2 bathrooms. Check-in/out was so smooth. We had a couple of minor things come up during our stay, but nothing at all that ruined our trip. The unit kitchen was very well stocked. Carol was very easy to contact and quick to respond to any messages. That is greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Great beach vacation

Intended to spend Christmas in Maui with family but due to covid ended up being a shortened girls get away. The condo is a lovely updated whaler unit with incredible view of Black Rock. Two bathrooms are amazing with teenagers. Everything you could possibly need for a vacation is available from toys to beach chairs. I tried to buy an umbrella to add to the collection but none were to be found on the island. The kitchen is very well appointed to make anything you could imagine. Carol and James are amazing hosts. Very responsive and supportive. Will definitely consider this unit again.

The accommodation was perfect for a husband and wife in their 70s… Love the whaler… Wheeler, Village… Pool and hot tub… The beach… The boats… Hot restaurants… Views and sunsets… And we even like the parking garage.

Week in Paradise

We stayed here for the second time and I think we will always choose to stay in this unit if we choose to keep staying at Kaanapali. This time around we had Karen as our point of contact when we checked in. Karen was absolutely on it. We had a minor issue with the garbage disposal not working and contacted Karen and she had it taken care of so quick. From that point on she continued to check in on us to make sure all was going well. Stephanie was also fabulous and worked with us to extend our check out time so that we did not need to leave until it was time to head for the airport, allowing us to fully enjoy our last day before our night flight. As for the unit, it is everything advertised. We slept great. Our teen did just fine on the sofa sleeper. It is perfectly situated with a great view of black rock and I spent several hours on the balcony reading and napping even which is not like me. The breezes were amazing there on the balcony. Thank you Stephanie and Karen for a wonderful time. I wish we could have booked the following week!!

Excellent stay! The condo was extremely clean and well cared for. Lots of small touches that made us feel like true guests, not just customers. Perfect condo!

First time staying at the Whaler and everything was even better than expected. The location between Whaler's Village and Black Rock (where we snorkel) can't be beat. The property itself is beautiful and very nicely kept. The on site management - including the concierge - is very friendly and helpful. This unit was terrific. It's a quiet spot with a great view of the beach and Black Rock. It's been nicely remodeled with very functional finishes and high end appliances which operate beautifully, which is so appreciated bc I love having use of a kitchen and laundry. Filled with thoughtful touches for guests so we wanted for nothing. Also of note - this unit is very close to elevators that take you down to the parking garage so coming and going was a breeze. The Whaler even provides small shopping carts in the parking garage so that you can easily do a week's worth of grocery shopping and bring it up in one easy trip. So nice!! We definitely recommend and would stay here again. :-)

As a family, we have been coming to Kaanapali for more than 25 years. We bought at The Whaler because we had stayed here on vacation and loved the convenient location with shops and restaurants next door at Whalers Village and the great beach.

Sitting in the living room, watching Black Rock and listening to the sounds of the ocean is unbeatable! A perfect day for us is a walk along the beach strand in the morning with a stop by Starbucks, followed by a relaxing day at the beach with walks down to Black Rock for snorkeling and finished with dinner (and mai tai) at Leilani's. We look forward to welcoming you to our condo!

What makes this property unique

Outstanding location, shady (not hot) lanai with a great view of Black Rock and gorgeous sunsets. Being on the 3rd floor, we are high enough for beautiful views and privacy, yet are not uncomfortably high. Our condo has upscale appliances, a fully furnished kitchen, a unique master bath with two showers, and touches of Hawaiiana throughout (see our pictures).
