We just returned from our first visit to the North Carolina high country. We stayed at Annie’s cabin in Banner Elk and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My wife was officiating the wedding of a very dear nephew and we were hoping for a place that matched the spirit of being with loved ones. Annie’s Cabin was perfect. The property is charming, beautiful and serene. Everything was very high quality and seemed to be thoughtfully placed to provide a warm family experience in the mountains. It is immaculately clean. There are wonderful views from the deck of the mountain and a lovely pond. I recommend you visit Annie’s Cabin, and I am pretty sure you’ll want to return often.

This is simply one of the best spots we've encountered.IT felt like our own private pond and getaway up in the mountains. It's well located to get to several places but still feels isolated. We enjoyed the critters that would visit each day and night and loaded our cameras wil amazing scenary and wildlife images. The check in process was super easy and the owners we incredibly kind and accomodating. I highly recommend this location. It's clean, very well taken care of, and well worth the money. We hope to return!

Amazing Vacation Home

We had the best time visiting Sugar mountain and staying at Annie's Cabin. It is exactly as described on VRBO and felt like home. We especially enjoyed the pond, back yard, and deer visitors during our stay.

Everything. Host was very helpful and friendly. Cabin was in an excellent spot with wonderful views. Loved that we had to put out food for the deer which we saw very day. Very clean and enjoyed the wild animals.

Annie's cabin is always very clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. The location is very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed seeing the wild animals: turkeys, groundhogs, chipmucks, birds, squirrels, and a black bear.

Thanksgiving with family

Really enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving at the cabin. The cabin was immaculate and cozy. We enjoyed board games at the kitchen table, watching wildlife from the deck ( a well fed black bear, deer, coyotes), fishing, and the fire pit. I can't think of a better cabin we have stayed at in the NC Mountains.
