Comfortable and spacious for a family stay and had all the essentials needed. Nice quiet location with walks by the Ford and into Castle Acre. We travelled with a crawling baby and managed fine and used a wooden folding chair in cupboard as a makeshift baby gate for the stairs which was handy. Tiled flooring all downstairs and some steps so toddling infants may find it difficult. We used the highchair but took our own travel cot (although there are 2 travel cots stored under bed). Was lovely and warm inside the cottage and easy to turn heating up and down. Needs a good dust in places but it didnt bother us as the main things like kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. Welcome treats were a nice surprise. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.
We had such a nice weekend staying in the cottage for my mum's 65th birthday. The cottage is really pretty and peaceful with so many birds tweeting away. It was spacious and private and perfect to get away from it all.
A fabulous location with lots of nice walks to Castle Acre village, pubs, the river ( which i think would be lovely in summer!) and the castle/ priory ruins. And only a 30 odd minute drive away from the coast.
Thanks so much, the hosts were lovely and left wine and chocolates which was a really nice welcome too :)
Would definitely recommend
This is such a brilliant place - beautiful location and the cottage has everything you will need. We didn't want to leave.

This was our second stay have stayed before around four years ago. The addition of the down stairs shower room was much appreciated. Enjoyed walk/cycling too Castle Acre and taking the bikes down to Thetford Forest. We all enjoyed seeing the three legged cat, Douglas again!
The Pightle is a comfortable and peaceful cottage with facilities a short drive away.
Only observation to note was the need for some additional mugs and bowls and perhaps a larger saucepan - we have three children two of which are teenagers with appetites that equates to large quantities of pasta/rice!!! But we all had a really enjoyable time and great weather.

Lovely location.
Lovely location. Fairly well equipped but not really sparklingly clean. The wine, crisps and chocolates were a super welcoming present. We could eat outside in the sunny garden. There is a lovely walk down the lane to Castle Acre where there is a good pub. All in all we were satisfied.

I cannot recommend the Pightle highly enough. The cottage is comfortable, warm and spacious. The owners are friendly and approachable. As far as location goes, it feels like you are miles from anywhere but in fact you can get to many places within half an hour or so.
