About this property

If you are looking for a authentic cabin experience in Colorado but with new, high-end finishes in the bathrooms, kitchen and designer furniture, you found it! The Spruce Moose is a cabin with 4 bedrooms, a loft with a queen pull out bed and a bunk room kids love.

This is a pet-free home so no dogs, cats and other non-human friends, please.

We preserved its high mountain character (and a few rough edges) but worked with one of Denver's hottest interior designers to take the bathrooms, kitchen and living spaces up a notch.

NICE FLOOR PLAN FOR GROUPS AND FAMILIES - The garden level area has two bedrooms, its own kitchen, living room, laundry, bathroom and shower. The main floor includes a living room, modern kitchen and comfortable eating area. The top floor of the home includes a cozy loft that acts as a third living room and/or TV area. The romantic master bedroom on the top floor has a gas fireplace and attached ensuite featuring Italian tile and extra large shower.

GREAT LOCATION - You are nestled in the trees but just five minutes away from the ski lift and the heart of Breckenridge with all of its shops, restaurants, bars galleries and activities. The cabin is a short walk to the nearest bus stop. End the day sipping wine on one of the private patios. Moose, elk and deer are regular visitors in these woods so don't be surprised if one of the 'real locals' walks by! Hiking, biking, fishing and other activities all within walking distance.

Modern amenities: smart TVs, high speed internet, 2 well- equipped kitchens, 2 laundry areas, wood stove in main living room, gas fireplace in master bedroom, stereo, grill, and two outdoor patio seating areas.

The remodel was just completed and we are continuing to decorate. We'll post updated photos soon.

Garden level space has 2 bedrooms. One is another king sized bed and the other is the bunk room with natural-log bunk beds and another single bed. (Kids love this room!)

Bonus: the top floor loft has a queen pull-out if needed.

Breckenridge Family Ski Trip

Cozy Cabin near Breck

Such a beautiful, well maintained property. Just a short drive from Breckenridge in lovely surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the cabin was fantastic. Clean, warm and everything was high quality! Highly recommend.

My wife Barb and I have worked and traveled in developing countries throughout the world, but for the past 20 years have always loved coming home to Colorado. Our first home together was in the Mountains. Buying and renovating the Spruce Moose along with our 7-year old daughter was a labor of love. This is our happy place. We hope you will make great memories here too and tell us about them!

Why they chose this property

A relative bought this property about 20 years ago when it was first built. We stayed here several times and were taken by the area, the sound of the wind in the trees, hiking and biking on the nearby trail, having a glass of wine by the fire pit and watching the sun set behind a mountain ridge of beautiful Aspen trees. When our relative was ready to sell we jumped on the opportunity.

What makes this property unique

This cabin is ideal for large families, two families or small groups. We think it is a special place. We love that we may see moose and deer wonder through the woods just a few feet away. But we are also just 5 minutes from downtown Breckenridge and the ski mountain. We are close to the action, but far enough away to let Colorado's high country beauty make us forget our cares.
