Spacious, new cabin on fabulous Big Sandy Lake in Northern Minnesota. This cabin is located in a private setting positioned uniquely for the best sunset views Big Sandy has to offer.

Big Sandy stunner is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath lake home with a walkout basement that comfortably sleeps 6. It has a fully equipped and large kitchen and living area. Lake home is located just north of McGregor, Minnesota, conveniently 2-2.5 hours north of the Twin Cities.

This home is equipped with resplendent luxuries and modern comforts such as climate control, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable TV, full gourmet kitchen and much much more! Shallow, sandy lake shore is great for swimming, fishing, and entertaining. You can swim, float and play right from the dock. We have a new dock section with wonderful bumpers to tie up your boat and a paddle boat for you to use.

This amazing region is incredibly beautiful, awe-inspiring and is loaded with unique and fun activities and adventures. You can swim, fish, bike, canoe, boat, eat in or out, golf, shop, shoot guns, snowmobile, ATV, plus see wildlife views throughout expansive public parks and land.

Big Sandy Lake is an amazing size lake at just over 6,500 acres. It's big enough to water ski, tube, jet-ski, boat, etc. but is typically uncrowded, quiet, clean, sandy and loaded with fish. It also has a sandbar for recreation during hot summer days, as well as 5 restaurants and bars that are accessible by boat. The neighborhood too is quiet and good for walking, biking, etc. The yard is equipped with a fire-pit, outdoor dining setup on the upper deck, and more and is big enough for most yard games.

This cabin is excellent for a family-fun filled getaway anytime of year!

Our cabin stay was perfect! Wish we could have stayed to enjoy the cabin longer. We came up for a long family reunion weekend, so much of our time was spent with family at another cabin on the lake, but Zac and Christie's space was amazing. We were so grateful to stay and enjoy time in the evenings and in the morning making breakfast. The kitchen and living room are very spacious and provided a comfortable spot to spend time together before heading out for the day. We were able to catch a sunset from the dock - picture perfect! Thank you again for your hospitality, you've thought of every detail in your cabin and we felt right at home.

This is our fifth year at this property. We love the space and all it has to offer in its yard, beautiful dock, and the lake. Zach and Christie are always extremely accommodating, friendly, and quick to respond to any questions we might have. They are a big reason for why we have come to love this rental. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience and the fun that we have here. It is exactly what we are looking for our family gathering each year.

The home was very comfortable. All the rooms are spacious and plenty of TVs for entertainment if the weather does not cooperate. Nice size kitchen and the view make it easy just to sit on the deck or patio and enjoy the view of the lake. The dock was excellent and sit up for landing a boat by yourself.

Great big sandy getaway!

This property was perfect for our first family vacation. The hosts were very responsive & made our first family vacation with our 9 month old baby a breeze. The home was clean & had everything that we could have ever needed. Definitely would be interested in renting this cabin again!

Relaxing Family Week

Our goal was to spend a week relaxing as a family, mission accomplished. The home was great. We rented a pontoon at Big Sandy Lodge and had a perfect place to dock. We grilled daily and found many fun activities on and around the lake.

Pictures don’t do the property justice, it is much nicer than advertised. Lake was great, especially around the dock area where our kids spent all kinds of time swimming. Kitchen was top notch, bathrooms clean. Could have asked for much more. Many thanks for sharing your lake home with us !

Fabulous!

We rented this cabin for our extended family now for the fourth year in a row. The time we spend there is one of our family’s most fun yearly adventures. It is extremely clean and well kept. The new dock and upgraded fire pit area added even more fun to this year’s experience. We find Zach and Christie extremely friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this cabin!

Amazing sunsets

We had a wonderful week at this cabin. We had three couples and there was plenty of room and it was nice having three bathrooms! Very well maintained and the owners were very responsive to any questions we had. The only negative was too many stairs to the lake. There was a way to drive down to the lake which was great especially with coolers, etc. although the road could have used some grating.

So fun!

We had so much fun at Big Sandy. Kids spent all afternoon swimming. Thanks so much for the use of paddleboard and paddle boat. We had a ball trying our skills (or lack thereof) on the paddleboard. Laughed a lot. House is beautiful. Perfect deck for watching sunsets. Perfectly situated to catch the lake breeze. Wonderful kitchen with lovely appliances. Everything very convenient. Great to have the 3 bathrooms with the grandkids there. We had a mid week stay and the lake was really quiet. Never saw a neighbor except for a black lab (obvious dock dog) who brought his own ball and played fetch with the kids. They were thrilled. Hosts were kind and receptive to all questions. My grandkids (ages 12-19) did not want to leave. We hope to return and stay longer. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place.

Weekend Trip

The property was very clean and very well kept. It is obvious that Zac and Christie take pride in their lake-house. Zac and Christie provided excellent instructions and and were easy to make contact with for questions and any other needed correspondence. Great time!

We loved our time on Big Sandy. Your place provided all we needed for a relaxing get-away with family. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed and offered spectacular sunset views. Except for the 57 steps to the lake, we couldn't have had a better experience, but even that slight inconvenience offered us a chance to getting the blood pumping!

Perfect location

This is a great property with close proximity to marina, restaurants and groceries. The cabin is very clean, fully equipped with necessities, and surprisingly quiet. The sunsets are beautiful. We had perfect weather, caught some fish, and enjoyed the water sports. Couldn't have asked for a better time! We would definitely come back!

Wedding weekend

The cabin was great for the weekend of prepping for a wedding we had in the area. Kitchen was great and was spacious! Didn't get to spend alot of time in the lake, kids enjoyed it while adults worked in kitchen. Was a nice experience. Only thing was bedding on upstairs bedroom didn't appear to be clean, overall would stay there again! Thank you

Fabulous experience once again!

This is our second time staying at this lake home with our family. It is exactly as promised…spotless for cleanliness, so much to offer on and in the property, and the owners are incredibly easy to work with and very prompt to respond to any communication. Lovely family cabin

This cabin was just perfect for our family of four adults and two young children. The cabin had many toys and games for infant to preschool aged children. Our grandkids were never bored. The deck is just wonderful and sunsets were beautiful. Our three year old grandson loved the beach and the yard. We had a very enjoyable stay.
