Welcome to the Wine Country Escape - The Premier spot for families, friends, offsites and your next group and gathering. With gorgeous views, this wooded, hillside estate has it all. 

Uniquely surrounded by nature but only minutes to the best wineries and restaurants in the area. This estate offers you a comfortable, modern living while being surrounded by nature. The 1.5 acre property offers breathtaking views of the Sonoma Mountains. Enjoy the gorgeous sunrises through the canopy of trees. With an open layout, sweeping views, and natural building materials, this modern country estate has all the comforts of indoor living, yet constantly invites the outdoors, in - Set in the midst of trees, apple orchards, farmland, vineyards, and tasting rooms. This beautifully remodeled, mid-century modern home has 5 bedrooms and 14 beds. 

1) Master Suite - One King bed and Two Double beds with walk-in closet and private bathroom

2) Junior Master - Two Queen beds with walk-in closet

3) Oak Room - Two Queen beds

4) Garden Room - One Queen bed

5) The Bunk Room - Two Queen beds and two sets of bunk beds (6 total beds in this room) Parties and large events are not allowed

Relax on the redwood deck or soak in the hot tub after a fun filled day. Enjoy each others company in the spacious living and dining areas which can seat up to. This summer, our organic, you-pick vegetable garden will be bountiful and ready for harvest! You're welcome to enjoy any vegetables to compliment your meal or hire our private chef who can give you the ultimate Farm-to-Table experience.  

The bike path to downtown is just minutes from the house and is a scenic 10 minute ride to The Barlow. We provide a Horseshoe Pit and platform with Cornhole boards. Also included with property are nature Bocce, Giant Jenga, Wiffle ball with bases and rafts and tubes for the River. 

Although you may never want to leave the tranquility of the property, there is a dizzying amount of adventures to be had in town and nearby areas. With over 20 Wineries and Tasting rooms within 5 miles, you can experience Sonoma County's world-famous wine culture. There are several state and regional parks within a short distance from the property, and a beautiful river wanders below through vineyards. Take a beautiful drive to neighboring Tomales Bay and feast on the oysters plucked from its waters, before heading to beach trails of the Pacific Coast. Sebastopol is a small town set in the Russian River Valley with a thriving food and wine culture. You can experience the best artisans of food and beverages at the nearby Barlow- home to Taylor Maid Coffee, Woodfour Brewery, Zazu Restaurant and Farm, and Hopmonk Tavern plus many more local businesses revered throughout Sonoma County.

Three night minimum over the weekends during Spring (March and April, two night minimum during the week) Four night minimum during Summer and Fall weekends (May to October, Two night minimum during the week). Four night min over Festival weekends. Five night minimum over Thanksgiving, Christmas. We may accept less than our nightly minimum if property is open less than 30 days in advance. Note we provide as many beds as people, 8 beds for 8 people, 14 beds for 14 people etc

Excellent spacious layout for groups, inside and out. One of the best stocked kitchens we’ve seen — perfect for those big family meal plans. (maybe bring your own knives and just have patience with the oven display) Beautiful grounds (with disc golf!) and well maintained hot tub with plenty of towels. Downstairs great for kids and cold preference sleepers downstairs.

Overall we had a wonderful stay. The house is in a beautiful location and has a wonderful outdoor space and hot tub. The house had plenty of space for our group of 10 adults and 3 kids. Check out process was a bit more laborious than your typical VRBO rental. There were some minor issues with communication - the address on VRBO did not match the address given to me by the host, but it turns out they both take you to the same place. I had a difficult experience with customer service when I reached out with a question about this booking - they were not able to find my booking because it is an external booking (not managed by VRBO). It was not clear that this was not managed through VRBO when I made the booking, so this caused some confusion.

Perfect place

This house is amazing and our stay was fabulous. Clean and well supplied, beautiful grounds and very comfortable bedding.The showers are a bit difficult but other than that the place is fabulous.The time of check in did change from the 11:00 listed on VRBO to 4:00 and then the instructions on the day of arrival changed in to 5:00.

Amazing location close to many activities!

The home was amazing for 13 people and very clean! It had everything we needed, such as comfortable beds, towels, kitchen items, and outdoor games. The geographical location was really great as it was only 17 minute drive to Santa Rosa but was closely located to many vineyards and the downtown area. Check-in was simple and the binder all the necessary details about the home. Thank you for this amazing home.

Great time in wine country!

We booked The Lone Palm as a homebase for my wife’s 40th birthday celebration in wine country with a group of 18 friends. George the owner was very communicative the whole way, and the property is absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tub, the short distance from Sebastopol proper, and did spur trips to multiple wineries, breweries, and natural points of interest. Bedroom accommodations and home amenities were excellent, and we would definitely book again and couldn’t recommended more!

Company Leadership Planning

We are a completely remote company who brings our leadership team together every quarter for a planning offsite! The home was a perfect size for our team and had lots of meeting spaces. We loved the deck for morning sunrise yoga and had a great time unwinding in the hot tub during the evenings😍. Also that walking/biking trail down the road was so beautiful.

Great House for a large Group!

This property is excellent for a larger group. There is plenty of room and it is layed out very well. The outdoor space is gorgeous. There are plenty of activities at the house and in the surrounding area. The host was very easy to communicate with and the rules of the house/ check out process was very easy. I cannot recommend this house enough. I had a large group for a week and it was so relaxing and easy.

Reunion of Old Friends --perfect place for us

The landscaping is beautiful, room set up good for us, and the kitchen supplied with all we need. We ran out of towels and toilet paper pretty quickly --had to do laundry and shop. The first few days were terribly hot and not having air conditioning was difficult. We loved watching the woodpecker colony! Overall, we love this place. It was our second stay and did not disappoint. Thank you

The Perfect Spot

Visited the Russian River with about a dozen friends and cannot say enough about how great Lone Palm was for our group. Beautiful grounds, spacious house with plenty of rooms and beds, a well appointed kitchen and plenty of grilling tools outside. We also took advantage of the property’s proximity to Sebastopol by walking into town on the bike bath every morning. Can’t imagine a better home base for a weekend of tasting Pinots. Owner was communicative and helpful in all interactions, but they also left us alone and let us enjoy their home. Highly recommended.

House Review

House is really old so many things are worn down and/or broken. Only 1 of the 8 bikes were rideable. Lots of light bulbs were out, pillows and bedding were old. Master bathroom shower door is bad, most of the windows did not have screens. Check out procedure was laborious (had to strip all beds, empty dishwasher, take out trash, move all towels to laundry room.). The house is in a great location and has a beautiful deck and yard and is good for a big group but just knowing that the house is run down will offer a more realistic expectation.

A nice home but the owner was kind of mid

My wife’s father passed away unexpectedly and our family decided to have a celebration of life at George’s house in Sebastopol. We wanted to check in a few hours earlier than the 5pm check in time (extremely late compared to many other vrbos I’ve booked) and asked the owner if we could. He stated we could but we would be charged an hourly rate to do so. For a weekend stay this place is already quite expensive so being charged another 10% on that to check in at a reasonable hour felt like getting nickel and dimed. The fee is annoying but if it was delivered with empathy I’d accept it but instead I was told we were lucky to even have had the opportunity to stay at his home in the first place. There was no compassion for our loss, no kind words or even condolences and this was the last thing I wanted to think about given how grief-stricken everyone was. One of the party did leave something and the owner was kind enough to get it back to us so that was helpful and saved him a star. Overall, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

30th birthday trip

This was a trip that me and my friends have been planning and looking forward to for so long and omg was it the best trip ever! This house was absolutely perfect for our group! Plenty of beds and rooms and bathrooms for our group of 14 (7 couples). It was so clean and spacious. Plenty to do at the house! They have bikes, cornhole, hot tub, foosball, etc. We actually spent a decent amount of time at the house to hang out and we were never bored. We even had plenty of space and the kitchen was big enough to have a private chef come in one night! (Which I highly recommend. It was so fun and delicious) There's nothing to complain about the house. One thing I would just say to keep in mind if you go here is that ubers/lyfts were not the easiest to get so if you need one just allow yourself ample time to order one. And definitely do not rely on them to get to and from wineries. We rented buses both days and it worked out so well and was definitely worth the money! The house was so close to the town of Sebastopol which was so so nice and there were so many good restaurants and breweries to do in town. And also close to the grocery store which was helpful! Would recommend having at least one rental car. And there was also a cute market/coffee shop in walking distance (about a 10-15 min walk so not bad at all!) They had good coffee, matcha, smoothies, etc. Everything was perfect!!

Great Location Unpleasant Experience with Owner

The property is large with a spacious yard amazing hot tub & location Unfortunately the negatives outweighed the positives The check in was unsettling as it required I text my license to the owner Upon arrival I was told to read the rule book. My group would have never had any issues with the rules but are not disclosed ahead of time. Rules included, $20 per cigarette found, quiet after 10, noise complaint you will be kicked out no refund, no amplified music outside at any time, if any leaves are in the hot tub you will be charged $185, charged $175 if cornhole is left outside The 2nd night I got a text from him stating he was going put covers over plants bc of the temp which would be no problem. However in a house of all 30+ yo girls it was very uncomfortable having a man walking around at night on the property. The girls left the spa for obvious reasons It was clear the visit was to count people & check noise. When outside he commented on indoor decorations which was clear he was watching us inside The next day I got a text stating he counted 10 cars & questioned how many people were there He sent another text re: decorations/cleaning/rules He returned to the house the next day & spent the majority of his time staring at us/inside Our final day he text me again about the rule book. I booked a house for a large amount of $ to have the property to ourselves. Instead we were micromanaged, uncomfortable, & not able to relax for even 1 full day.

Nice Stay in Sebastopol

Very comfortable home for a large group. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. beds were very comfortable. The downstairs rooms (2nd living area and 2 BRs) don't get as much heat in cold weather, but we lived primarily on the main floor, and just slept under the heavy quilts downstairs. Some of the plumbing fixtures are showing a bit of age, but most everything worked fine. We had a blast playing cornhole during cocktails every afternoon!

Magical Property

What a magical property! The grounds are absolutely stunning with lots of fun activities. My friends spent hours playing frisbee golf, corn hole, and board games under the trees. You'll likely get to meet the neighborhood dog, Zeus who comes to visit and is very friendly. I absolutely recommend this property.

Loved it!

This house has a peaceful rural and secluded feel but stuff like grocery store and other amenities are still only a couple blocks away. Hot tub is surprisingly large! Hammock was used for plenty of mid-day naps amongst our group. House cools off quite nicely at night, especially the downstairs bunk area.
