About this property
Moonseeker nr Okehampton, Pets welcome, Woodburner, Underfloor Heating, Garden
Moonseeker is a gorgeous, cosy, very well equipped barn conversion, peacefully set away from busy roads and offering a high degree of privacy. The cottage was lovingly converted by us to blend traditional with contemporary.
The cottage sleeps 4 people (children 8 years +, or babes in arms welcome), yet is perfectly cosy enough for a couple who like their space.
The cottage has Wi-Fi throughout.
Situated in a quiet and secluded setting, without being remote, this is a fabulous location if you enjoy countryside, nature & exploring - and the coast of both Devon & Cornwall is under an hour away.
Moonseeker is furnished to an extremely high standard, with exposed beams and a central oak staircase separating the living and kitchen/dining areas.
KITCHEN
The Kitchen has a range style cooker (gas), microwave, fridge, full size freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, espresso coffee maker for ground coffee and a table that seats 4 comfortably with views into the garden. An initial supply of tea, coffee and sugar is provided along with salt, pepper, vinegar, and spray oil for cooking. There are plenty of saucepans, glasses, crockery, and cutlery. Tea towels and hand towels provided. We also provide dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and laundry liquid.
LOUNGE:
The dual aspect lounge has a 40" TV with a DVD player, iPod dock/radio, woodburner (first basket of logs free), leather sofa and 2 armchairs, coffee table and traditional games.
BEDROOMS:
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms offering power showers, large shower enclosures with low profile shower trays, loo and sink. The beds are comfortable Hypnos beds, one King size (5ft) the other Superking (6ft), which can split into a twin on request. One hand and one bath towel provided per person. Please bring your own beach towels.
There is a downstairs cloakroom (towel and hand soap provided) just off the entrance hall.
PARKING
You can park near to the cottage for loading and unloading.
There is undercover parking for 2 medium sized cars in one of our outbuildings a short walk away (about 30 metres).
PETS:
Multiple very well-behaved pets are welcome. There is a charge of £25 each per pet per stay, but please read the booking terms to make sure this property is suitable for your pet(s) before booking. We provide small throws, paw wiping towels, bowls & treats. There is a muddy paw/boot wash outside the door.
GARDEN:
The back garden is fully enclosed with fencing, hedging and a wall, well screened and very private with decking, a lawned area, garden furniture and charcoal BBQ. The view is across the field (sheep and lambs may be present) toward Dartmoor National Park.
EV CHARGING:
We regret we cannot permit charging at the property due to supply capacity.
There is fast EV charging at the local car park, which is about 5 minutes’ away, as you drive into Okehampton town. There are other locations within approximately 20 minutes’ drive.
