Very nice and comfortable stay

First it really looks like on the pictures and the living room is really the highlight with the cosy oven in the center. The kitchen is clean, new and more than just well equipped (Fondue, raclette, sandwich maker, dish washer, microwave,...). Further all necessities for cleaning were available. The two bed rooms are clean and functional. We really enjoyed our stay cooking, eating, talking in this cosy cabin regardless the weather outside.

The perfect spot for some serious mountain biking!

We rented this chalet for the sole purpose of riding our mountain bikes in the Vosges. It has proven to be an excellent choice! The chalet is cozy, well equipped and has a place to safely store bikes. The wood fireplace is a real bonus. RĂ©mi, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. As for mountain biking, I can assure you the Vosges has a lot to offer! Le Tholy is very close to GĂ©rardmer, La Bresse and Xonrupt-Longemer. Each of these villages has a large number of signposted mountain bike tracks. The 'Trace Vosgienne' is a track I can highly recommend. There's also a bike park if you don't like climbing that much. Definitely recommended!

Our stay in Le Tholy

We had a lovely time! The house was lovely and we were warmly welcomed by Remi and his wife Chris. They showed us around the house and explained everything. The house was immaculately clean, with everything we needed. Close by were a couple of little shops with a good selection of food and supplies. Although Remi has very good english language, very few other people around did. Being able to speak a bit of french, really helped. Fortunately Remi emailed to say that sheets and towels, were not included in the rental, he kindly arranged this for us. I think that in the UK we expect sheets and towels to be included. My wife judges a holiday house by the quality of their towels and sheets! We had a lovely, although short stay, only 3 nights. I would recommend Remi's lovely house to anyone!

Die Lage war etwas anders beschrieben, die Terrasse ist direkt an der Strasse und sehr laut.

Die Betten sind total durchgelegen, wir haben das auch gesagt, aber ich glaube nicht das man sie austauschen wird. Strom wird auch noch extra verlangt, bei fast 400€ fĂŒr 6 Tage ganz schön heftig. Kleiner Tip an die Vermieter, LiegestĂŒhle wĂ€ren schön!
