We stayed here for just under 3 weeks and had one of our best vacations ever. The apartment is well set up and spacious. Great location in the small fishing town of Alvor. Steps from restaurants and a short walk to the harbour and beaches. Was a great launching point for many of our Algarve day trips and hikes. Communication with the owner and local property management team was also excellent. We hope to be back again soon!
This was our second visit and as before this apartment can not be faulted. Great position just a short walk into Alvor Centre. Pool area lovely and peaceful.

SolRio Apartment
We have just returned from a two week break at Gaby & Geoff's fantastic apartment.
We have visited many Villas and Apartments over the past 20 years and can honestly say this is the best.
Great location with an easy walk into the old town of Alvor.
The security of the site and the having the use of the underground car park was a bonus.
Can't wait to return.

Great location in a quiet area and within easy walking distance of the town, supermarket, restaurants and the beautiful Alvor beach. The apartment was spacious with lots of lovely outside spaces to enjoy the sun. We did feel some of the furnishings could do with a little updating but overall the apartment was very nice.

Location Location Location!
Having used HomeAway many times to book accommodation we felt on this occasion a review was imperative. Firstly, the location of the property is without question ideal as its only a 2 minute walk to all of the fantastic restaurants and cocktail bars Alvor has to offer. The apartment itself has everything you would require and the views from the balcony and the roof terrace are breathtaking. Thank you Gaby & Geoff and yes we will be returning. The Harrison family.

Fantastic Apartment in the Perfect Location
Having stayed in Alvor on numerous occasions in various apartments, I must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment; certainly the nicest one we have stayed in.
The accommodation and facilities were without fault and in perfect condition; it was just like staying in a brand new house!
The views from the main balcony and roof terrace were fantastic and we enjoyed many an hour watching the cloudless sky with the rising and setting sun.
The location could not be any better, with only a 5 minutes walk to the town/village center, whilst still being in a quiet area.
The pool and gardens were lovely and likewise very tranquil.
Thoroughly recommended; we certainly plan on making a return visit.

A well located secure apartment, with easy access to bars and restaurants and super market.the lounge and kitchen are well furnished/equipped. However we did encounter problems with the sunroof door even after Clive visited to rectify it.We followed the instructions for the tv but were unable to find terrestrial channels .The bathroom linen was well below the standard we would expect for the location and price.A very enjoyable holiday in Alvor but the above concerns do need attention.

We checked the Tv channels provided on the IPTV box & all UK terrestrial ones were there??
We are glad you enjoyed your stay & look forward to welcoming you back to Solrio.
Ideally positioned for access to supermarket restaurants etc. Everything within a few minutes walk. Underground car park ideal if renting a car. Balconies and roof terrace are a good size and terrace is private for sunbathing. Good security. Pool is a good size and ideal if you want to do lengths. If you're a beach person the beach is a 10 to 15 minutes walk. Only downside for us was we found the double bed uncomfortable and some furnishings were showing signs of wear and tear. There's a bit of noise pollution about the area just now due to 3 or 4 renovation /construction projects ongoing and an almost continual buzz of light aircraft from the nearby airfield taking parachutists up to jump. That said if you can block that out as'white noise' you'll love the place. These downsides wouldn't stop us booking the apartment again.

Great apartment. Perfect location BUT…. Cleanliness could do with a bit of work for instance the top of the extract hood I don’t think has ever been cleaned nor has the roof terrace. (No bbq tools to be found) Grimy switches. One minute towel unless your tiny was more like a hand towel. Empty Duvet covers and a throw as bedding. Archaic media situation including a tv that relied on Wi-Fi which was very temperamental. We couldn’t operate it at all when we first arrived but the local agent Alice in all fairness visited the apartment within an hour and sent me a “how to” video. Sofa and dining chairs covered very worn furniture. Beds not comfy. Overall the property is getting very tired. The worst thing we had to deal with was a large construction site to the left of our balcony that operated Monday-Saturday 8am to 6pm that we were not made aware of which I think is very unfair. This rendered the balcony unusable during the day.
Lovely , spacious and modern apartment in best location in town. Had everything we needed. There was plenty of space and enough privacy for 2 couples. Loved the roof terrace , balcony and pool area. Highly recommended

This apartment is in a great location with easy access to town. The owner responds quickly to any queries. This is my 5th stay in Alvor, this apartment is definitely the best.
Unfortunately for us we arrived on Saturday night just in time for the restrictions to start . Everyday something else closed . It was so sad .Supermarkets very well organised. No idiots ! Fortunately the view from the balcony was lovely, we could sit in lounge and see it too !

The apartment was exactly as shown on internet, security very good, location only minutes from centre of town.
TV equipment very HI-TEC took some getting used too: bedding adequate but could do with new pillows.
Would definately stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
This apartment at Solrio is truly home from home. We stayed for 4 weeks in January 2020 so obviously it got very cool in the evening. We got the shutters down, turned the heater on and snuggled down for the evening. Cooking was so easy as there is every appliance and facility you could wish for. Two terraces, one front, one back both got the sunshine at sone point of the day. We didn’t use the roof terrace but can imagine how great that would be in the summer. The view from the living room is beautiful. Parking is underground with two spaces so very secure and easy. Lifts up to the apartment on the 2nd floor, Location is perfect. It’s at the top of the Village literally on the little high street which runs down to the promenade by the river/sea. Can not recommend this apartment highly enough.
The location was perfect. The apartment was a lovely but there was no BBQ equipment to use with the BBQ. The bed was not comfortable and I think the towels were old and ironing board was stained. I think for the amount we paid to stay for a week we would have expected a little bit more. If these things were addressed I think it would be perfect. Had a fantastic holiday despite this.

Heerlijk ruim en luxe appartement
Wij verbleven hier met zijn vieren in de laatste week van maart.
Op 1 ochtend na konden we 's morgens in de zon ontbijten op het dakterras dat uitzicht heeft op Alvor en het riviergebied, met in de verte de zee en zelfs Lagos! Die ene ochtend waaide het te hard, plus geen zon, dus koud, maar ja dat heb je soms in maart.
Ook het balkon bij de woonkamer hebben we veel gebruikt aan het eind van de dag, want de zon gaat die kant onder. Aangezien je er geheel beschut zit was dat héérlijk warm!
Verder is het appartement mooi ingericht, en heeft een ruime keuken met diverse apparatuur. De foto's spreken voor zich en geven een goed beeld.
Voor ons was het in ieder geval een heerlijk appartement...

Fabulous apartment in Alvor
The apartment was lovely. We spent many evenings on the balcony watching the sun set. The town and all the wonderful bars restaurants and shops are literally just down the road but it was extremely quiet at the apartment. The roof terrace was a bonus for sunbathing. We will definitely come back as it was a real home from home.
