Original built in 1939, the Caldwell house has been newly updated and fully equipped including wifi, tv, Xbox, DVD players, sound system, Kennels for dogs if needed, living room entertains with a 65" Ultra HD 4K with digital surround sound and wood burning fire place. Full kitchen is available or catering is an option. Great place for family. Located only 10 miles outside of Tuscaloosa, home of the Alabama Crimson Tide!

We are equipped to be a full service Lodge, meals, hunting, fishing, shooting, and Boating are available forpre scheduling at additional cost!

We just needed a night off the highway. This place was just the thing. It is bigger than we needed, but affordable. There are currently two houses at the turn we took and it took us a bit to figure out which one it was. We enjoyed the decor, watched a movie and found everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Beds were nice!

This is an older home. Totally country and if you don’t like a little rustic out in the country then it’s not for you. Yes the shower isn’t perfect , the floors are creaky and the windows are older too, but if you don’t like that idea of being in a 1938 home then take your bougie butt somewhere else! Overall, I loved my time in Alabama. Host was amazing. Communication was fast and clear. And some of the reviews about it being old and having taxidermy is true but the photos clearly show the taxidermy!! It was spacious for my large family and I would have never been able to afford the two hotel rooms for the price I paid for our two separate evenings at the Caldwell House. (Once on the way to NC from TX and then on the way back) Full sized kitchen, oven, countertops, large living room, plenty of beds and room for my husband and 5 kids. Would stay again if I was in the area. Thank you to Daniel (host) for a lovely house to stay in while traveling!

Our host, Daniel, was very thoughtful and accommodating. The home was clean and provided enough room for us to be spread out. Beds were comfortable which is always a plus for me. Twenty minutes from the football stadium.

The house was decked out for Christmas, had everything we needed, and was very comfortable for my big family. The host was responsive and helpful. It was less than 20 minutes to the University of Alabama campus. Would be a great stay if going to campus to visit your kids or come to a game.

Enjoyable each time

We’ve stayed in the property 3 times now and have a h time was great. Clean, very friendly owners and comfortable beds. We didn’t need anything fancy, just a clean safe place to sleep and that’s exactly what it was! We will be back again soon when visiting our kids at Bama.

The cabin was clean and offered towels and soaps. It was decorated with various wild taxidermy animals but we are hunters too so that did not bother us. It did only have one bathroom and the cabin was pretty close to a busy road but we knew that and chose it for the convenience of the location to park our truck and trailer. Daniel our host was very friendly and helpful as well sending us photos of the driveway.

Perfect stopping point

This house was a perfect alternative to a hotel for us. We were just traveling through the area with trailers and bikes and didn’t want to stay at a hotel. The accommodations were exactly as listed. We will stay here again if we are back in the area.

The house was amazing, so much history!! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bar was very large and accommodating. The living room was very spacious and the couch fit all of us while watching the ballgame!! The beds were so comfy! Our fur babies had more than enough room and the kennel outside was a luxury for our two smaller babies. We will definitely book this house again!! The host responded quickly when we had a question.

Peaceful, a piece of history with a modern day update. In the country away from all the hustle but close enough to the Tuscaloosa. Amazing property owner who stays in touch and answers all questions and makes sure you have what you need.

Everything we needed!

This place felt like walking into an old family home. Everything about it was welcoming. More charm here than can be explained if you just slow down to take it all in. We needed a place to stay after my son’s football game and I wish we had stayed longer! We will be back!
