The Guest House at Willow Springs Farm -- central Shenandoah Valley location
Our turn of the century Shenandoah Valley farmhouse is convenient for travelers (fifteen minutes from I-81, exit 235) and centrally located for vacationers (20 minutes to Harrisonburg, Staunton, Natural Chimneys; 30 minutes to Shenandoah National Park, George Washington National Forest; less than an hour to Lexington, Charlottesville, Highland County).
Sitting nearly ½ mile off the county road, quiet and solitude with some country noises should be expected at Willow Springs. Cozy up in many spots indoors and out with a good book, drawing pad, or whatever suits your fancy. Get out, walk around, and experience a simple, slower pace. Watch the cattle graze while listening to the birds chirping. Starry nights, amazing moons, and the sun rising and setting should not be missed. Come experience this farm as she comes back to life.
The hundred year old farmhouse has been maintained, updated, expanded, and renovated throughout the years. What she lacks in elegancy she gains in charm and character. You will find the house extra clean, sporting a fresh coat of paint, new luxury linens, and plush towels. We will continue improving the exterior, always insuring your visit is uninterrupted.
Come up the porch and enter the house. All bedrooms are upstairs, straight ahead. To the right is the comfortable living room complete with basic television (mainly networks via antenna and blueray/DVD player). The left leads you through another gathering room to the updated and nicely appointed kitchen, complete with a Kuerig coffee maker. The only bathroom is a simple one nestled behind the dining area.
Upstairs consists of three bedrooms. Two have queens and one has a pair of twins. Dual zone central heat and air provide a consistent and comfortable environment. No natural gas or propane systems eliminate the worries of gas in the home. The Kinetico water system provides fresh and purified well water.
Extensive landscaping frames a wonderful patio and deck on the left and rear of the home. Enjoy a steak on the gas grill or cook something at the campfire (firewood provided). Plenty of space is available for the kids to roam, explore the woods, and play in the dirt. We had a great visit! The owner greeted us upon arrival and gave us all the information we needed. We also loved the farm cars. The orange calico was so friendly
This is a great old period farmhouse- updated- in a very quiet and beautiful area. Turkeys, deer abundant. Hosts are very nice. If you’re looking for solitude and a historical house you’ll love this place. Also pet friendly.
The Guest House was old but well maintained, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The host was friendly and communicative without interfering in our stay. The property is pastoral and idyllic, and our dog loved hanging out there and taking walks up the hill. The only bathroom is on the first floor while the 3 bedrooms are on the second floor, up a fairly steep staircase.
Garland was very welcoming. He offered my kiddos some sleds to sled in the snow on the property. The beds were very comfortable. It is just a lovely overall farmhouse and property.
Charming old house with modern amenities in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Very clean, very comfortable. The host was accommodating with our schedule and super friendly, even brought wood and kindling for our little campfire. Brought my dogs and they had the time of their lives running around and exploring. What a great stay, highly recommended.
This farmhouse is very well located with beautiful and peaceful surroundings, yet close to stores, restaurants and attractions. Clean and well appointed, it is perfect for relaxing between sightseeing trips. G.R. was a great host, so were the two felines on the premises.
Great host, easy check in and check out. Clean and well stocked home with everything our family of 4 needed during our short stay while traveling through the area. Pet friendly too!

Had a lovely overnight stay at Willow Springs Farm. G.R. was a great, communicative host and the Guest House was clean, well furnished, and on a beautiful, quiet property. Would certainly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful guesthouse. The house has lots of character and there is plenty of space inside and outside for relaxing and enjoying the country surroundings. G.R. is a great host and we appreciated his efforts to make us feel at home and making sure that we had what we needed. We spent two nights here with family and hope that we get the opportunity to come back sometime.
