About this property
Log Cabin Getaway with Scenic Mountain Views in Montana’s Seeley-Swan Valley
Experience Montana’s Swan Valley
Discover the Rocky Mountains of western Montana from this rustic log cabin, perfectly located in the heart of the Swan Valley. From your porch, take in sweeping views of the Swan Range and the Bob Marshall Wilderness to the east, and the Mission Mountains Wilderness to the west.
Wildlife & Setting
The cabin overlooks a spring-fed pond and wetlands, home to elk, moose, deer, native trout, ducks, geese, great blue herons, and the occasional frog chorus. Grizzlies and black bears also roam the surrounding wilderness, adding to the authentic Montana experience. With dozens of pristine lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and mountain trails nearby, you’ll have endless opportunities for exploration.
Outdoor Recreation
Holland Lake is just six miles away—ideal for hiking to waterfalls, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, or boating. After a day outside, stop by a local watering hole for a Montana brew. In every season, there are adventures to choose from: fly-fishing the Swan River, mountain biking, huckleberry picking, cross-country skiing, hunting, snowmobiling, or heading deeper into the Bob Marshall and Mission Mountains Wilderness areas.
A scenic drive 45 minutes north past Swan Lake leads to Bigfork, a lively town on Flathead Lake with art galleries, breweries, boutiques, music and theater festivals, and lake tours. Glacier National Park and Whitefish Ski Resort are about 1.5 hours to the north, while Seeley Lake—25 minutes south—offers even more recreation, from waterskiing and golfing to birdwatching and holiday festivities.
Comfort & Amenities
Inside, unwind in the cozy living room with log and leather furniture beneath vaulted ceilings, warmed by a wood stove and fireplace. Outside, gather around the firepit under the stars to share stories or roast s’mores.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a hearty mountain meal, with seating for six at the dining table plus counter space. Prefer being outdoors? Fire up the charcoal grill and enjoy the picnic tables on site.
Sleeping Arrangements
Master bedroom: double log bed, private bathroom
Second bedroom: full/twin bunk, with second bath in hallway
Downstairs: three twin beds, one double bed, wood stove, and TV with DVD/VHS
Connectivity & Entertainment
The cabin has WiFi so you can stay connected during your stay. There is no cable TV, but guests are welcome to sign into their own streaming accounts. For unplugged nights, enjoy the board games and hundreds of DVDs available in the cabin’s collection.
Practical Details
The cabin is fully furnished and equipped for your stay. Local outfitters and businesses at Holland Lake and Seeley Lake offer rentals for kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, snowmobiles, and more. About the host
Hosted by Lyndsey

This cabin is owned by my brother, sister and I. We are fifth generation Montanans and and spent our childhoods in the Swan Valley, hiking and boating at Salmon, Seeley, Flathead and Holland Lake, picking huckleberries, fishing and hiking in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
We live in Missoula and the Bitterroot Valley. The views from the cabin are breathtaking and there are beautiful hikes and trails to be found just minutes away.

Why they chose this property
This property, ideally situated between two majestic mountain ranges and just a short drive to Holland Lake was love at first sight for us. We had looked for awhile and knew immediately when we saw this cabin that it was the one for us. We have young boys who love exploring the woods and marshland around the property, watching the deer and elk come through and sitting around the campfire at night.
