About this property

A charming farmhouse in the Luberon with plenty of space for 6, the charm of the old and the comfort of a modern kitchen. Near the perched village of Joucas and a few minutes drive from the Luberon highlights such as Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lourmarin.

Mas de Joucas is an authentic 18th-century house with a 2-hectare garden, a swimming pool and a south-facing terrace under the shade of the centenary plane tree.

Inside, the old tiles and generous volumes. With these old stones, the house keeps cool in the summer.

The kitchen is equipped for a chef, with a professional stove / oven (as well as a more basic oven), stainless steel worktops and all kinds of cooking tools. Also in the kitchen: fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and Nespresso and Senseo coffeemakers.

The living room has sofas and armchairs around the fireplace and television, and at the other end of the room a dining table. The living room has large openings to the south which fills it with light.

Formerly it was a stable, and entering the house, the first room is a bar with a stone trough counter and racks furrowed along the wall - a fun place to gather around a drink.

The office is a quiet place for anyone to work on vacation. The house has WiFi.

Last room on the ground floor, laundry room with washing machine and dryer. There is also a toilet.

Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms for 6 people, each with a bathroom.

The first room is very spacious with a bath in the room. There is also a sink and separate toilet. The bed is 1.8 m wide.

Bedroom 2 can be configured as two single beds or a bed 1.8 wide. The bathroom has a shower and sink. WC is on the landing.

Bedroom 3 has a 1.8m wide bed, an office and a view of the vineyards towards the village of Joucas. The bathroom has a shower and sink. WC is on the landing.

In front of the house is the terrace with a dining table and barbecue under the shade of the centenary plane tree. Beyond is the pool (10.5m x 4.5m) and then the grassy garden. On the side, there is an outdoor ping-pong table. From the hectare of the garden, there are views of the beautiful hilltop villages of Roussillon, Gordes and Joucas. The village of Joucas and 1,5km.

Une superbe bâtisse tout confort au cœur du Lubéron

Nous avons passé en famille un séjour idyllique dans cette superbe bâtisse chargée d'histoire, tout confort, au cœur du Lubéron et à deux pas des plus beaux villages perchés. Très grande piscine pour les petits et les grands, intérieurs et extérieurs aménagés avec beaucoup de goût. On se sent comme dans un cocon ! Mentions spéciales pour la terrasse aménagée à l'ombre du platane, et pour l'accueil et la bienveillance de Célina! Une belle adresse que nous gardons précieusement.

My idea of heaven

This house is absolutely stunning, a rare find. The sort you think you may only see in magazines. We were surrounded by french elegance and style and loved padding along the original stone floors pretending we lived there. We never really wanted to venture far because it was just so lovely right there. Pure luxury envelopes you, I felt like a princess. My bedroom was a tranquil haven, scented with freshly picked lavender and beautifully decorated in white and beautiful grey with incredible views across the vines up to Joucas. Poke your head out of the window at night and enjoy the fresh air of Provence! The rain-shower and supersoft white towels, a spa like treat. The pool is fabulous, set away from the house with open views of the hills soaring up around you, with only crickets for company. A very special stay.
