About this property
Stunning 2 bedroom cottage in quiet hamlet, close to Polzeath and Port Isaac
Clematis Cottage is a beautiful 1880's stone house in the peaceful hamlet of Trelights, close to the stunning sandy beaches of Polzeath and the Camel Estuary and the historic fishing villages of Port Quinn, Port Gaverne and Port Isaac, home to the Fishermans Friends and the setting for the hugely popular TV series Doc Martin.
Lovingly restored by its owners over the past 4 years, the house has bags of style and character with slate flagstone floors dominating the ground floor, a see through woodburner (loadable from either room) separates the cosy lounge from the open kitchen dining area. The well stocked kitchen is a foodies delight, with most staple ingredients for cooking already supplied. Through the kitchen stable door there is a sunny outside seating area perfect for a little breakfast or an evening G&T
Upstairs the bathroom is a large one for a house of this size, we love it , it's modern yet traditional and has a nice big walk in shower or a lovely big bath to relax in. The Bedrooms both have original wooden flooring, there are new mattresses on beds, both super comfy, the largest room has a queen and the other is a double. Both rooms have ample wardrobe and drawer space. We love our pets and welcome you to bring yours to Clematis Cottage, It's a dog walkers paradise out there folks! We are so proud of our little house and the work we have done, we want you to enjoy it too, have a lovely stay
We also offer a coastal foraging service; Dream of catching a wild sea bass or grilling up some fresh mackerel? Teasing a lobster or brown crab from its hiding place, picking the hugest, cleanest mussels from the rocks? I know where to find the most amazing prawns, Marsh and Rock samphire and can teach your kids all the rock pooling skills they could need for a lifetime ..... just get in touch, no need to bring anything as we have all the kit you need (Seasonal dependant)

Beautiful cottage, great location can’t wait to go back!
We had the most wonderful weekend at Clematis cottage. It was just stunning, newly decorated and so much attention to detail. Mike was a great host, lots of recommendations and very helpful. It was in a lovely peaceful area, within easy reach to explore the local area. Can’t wait to come back.
The cottage was lovely, very clean, comfortable felt very at ease, village was very quiet which was lovely after a day being around crowds. Brilliant location for you to explore either by foot or a short trip by car. Dog friendly beach are about 20 mins away like Daymer bay and Trebarwith strand. Daymer Bay great for children as well, rock pools and lovely for a swim too. Mike the owner was great giving all his local knowledge which helped us out brilliantly, also only a message away if needed any questions answered . All in all brilliant location and lovely house to stay what more could you want.
We spent a short getaway here and can only recommend this place . The house recently refurbished, fully equipped and very well positioned for everything the area has to offer. The owner is an excellent source of local info if needed, you might as well get some fresh mackerels if lucky;-)
