Thanks Marie. We are so pleased you enjoyed your holiday!
John and Sue.
We had another wonderful stay at Rock Cottage. It is so well positioned and beautifully presented. As ever nothing was too much trouble for the hosts who are incredibly responsive and personable. We will definitely be back!
This was our 4th holiday at Rock Cottage and another lovely visit. The house is well equipped and comfortable allowing you to fully relax.
The gardens surrounding the house are great for kids to play out on and the peaceful location is wonderful. We’ll be back again next year
Beautiful cottage with ample room for our family of 6. Very clean and well set out with everything we could possibly need.
Location perfect for Polzeath and many other great beaches and the ferry from Rock to Padstow.
Hosts were very reapinsive and helpful.
All in all 5 stars!
Absolutely beautiful and lovely cottage. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need and it was so nice to have a generous welcome pack when we arrived.
The children loved the garden and we explored the woodland behind the property.
It has been one of our favourite properties we have stayed at and would happily come back again in the future.
Thank you to the owners who have made it a lovely, cosy cottage for their guests to enjoy.
Rock Cottage is as near to perfection as you could hope to get in holiday accommodation. The cottage is extremely well equipped and the surrounding grounds are weel kept. Attention has been paid to even the smallest of details.like the provision of a welcoming "hamper" and nuts for feeding the birds and squirrels. The weather was kind to us and we had a great time. Many thanks to the owners for allowing us to stay in their cottage.
We absolutely loved our stay at Rock Cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully appointed and so tasteful yet comfortable with small children. The hosts have thought of everything and the welcome package on arrival after a long journey was wonderfully received and enjoyed. The communal lawn at the back of the property is a great space too for the children to kick a ball about and very safe/enclosed. We honestly couldn’t fault the cottage and have already booked in to come back in August!
Man vermisst nichts.
Lebensmittelgeschäfte sind in ca. 15 min. Fahrtzeit mit dem Auto zu erreichen. W-Lan ist sehr gut. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Rock cottage was splendid - the inside had everything we needed and more and the surroundings were lovely and spacious. We would recommend and stay again thanks so much.
I really loved staying here. The house was lovely, clean and very well appointed. It was well appointed too, very nice furniture, the kitchen had very good pots pans and loads of utensils, Loads of nice Cornish art. A step above what I expected for sure!
We spent a week in Rock Cottage. The house is immaculately clean and a well kitted out kitchen - everything you need for self catering. Easy access by car to Rock, Padstow and all the other beautiful places Cornwall has to offer. We spent 6 of our days walking the South West Coast Path, which is stunning!
Lovely stay. We knew the location was not walking distance to anywhere but that was fine for a week. Beds nice and comfy. We travelled to various places in the day and cooked and stayed at the accommodation in the evenings. Would recommend.
We were so pleased to have stayed at Rock Cottage. We cannot fault this place. It’s spacious and has an open kitchen, dining and living area which is perfect for families. It is well heated and the fireplace was fantastic for cold winter nights. We loved visiting North Cornwall as we haven’t explored much in this area, but will definitely come back to Rock Cottage in the future!!
Have just spent a really brilliant week away at Rock Cottage. There was nothing wrong with it at all, in fact it was as close to perfect as you can get.
Lovely lounge that was relaxing, warm and inviting. Kitchen had everything you could want (to the
Had a wonderful stay at the very well presented Rock Cottage. Property extremely clean, fully equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend Rock Cottage as a place to stay in Cornwall.
Very clean, comfortable and well-appointed property. Easy check-in process, plenty of parking and outdoor space and all with great value for money! Thanks again for having us
Rock Cottage is beautifully finished and provides a great base to explore wonderful North Cornwall. Instructions are simple, appliances of a high standard, and plenty of room for our family of four to enjoy a great week together. It's a shame the footpath from Higher Treglyn (nice row of properties adjoining) towards Chapel Amble is completely overgrown but that's nothing to do with the super hosts. Check out the giant slip-n-slide just along the road for an hour of fun!
Relaxing, peaceful location, well equipped accommodation, all we needed!
The booking, pre arrangements, communication, arrival and check in, cleanliness and welcome in the house was excellent!
It is a great location in a quiet group of cottages but near to a good road from which you can access the local towns, shops, restaurants, tourist attractions and beautiful beaches. We enjoyed everything about the house and the area. We are planning to return!
My friend and I stayed in Rock Cottage whilst visiting Cornwall, and it was the perfect place for it. Very light and airy inside, with plenty of room and character. Generous outside space also means you can enjoy the weather when it allows, and its location is very tranquil. Hosts very kindly left us some gifts upon arrival. Would definitely recommend.
Really impressed with this holiday home - beautifully decorated, lots of outside space and really well appointed - everything you can think of in the kitchen is there. really lovely.
Lovely stay. Amazing and well stocked property with an excellent host :-)
Great from the moment we booked. John was very helpful and informative. On arrival we were blown away by a welcome gift and everything just being a little better stocked than you sometimes find... not having to buy dishwasher tablets for example.
Highly recommend a stay:-)

About the host
Hosted by John Grice
We have spent our holidays in Cornwall for many years. Our first visit was in 1976 when we spent our honeymoon in the area. It has been a favourite destination ever since. Our love of the unique atmosphere and vibrant art scene has drawn us back year after year. Our children and grandchildren now visit and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful beaches too. We hope you will love Cornwall as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
Rock Cottage was incredibly well appointed with beautiful surroundings. We were drawn to the rural peaceful setting. The property's proximity to some of Cornwall's best beaches made this the perfect family holiday location.
What makes this property unique
There are great opportunities for the active. You can surf, swim, sail, and cycle. You can hike the coastal paths and explore nearby Bodmin Moor. For the 'foodies' you will not have to travel too far to find Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver and Nathan Outlaw well represented by their very own restaurants.
