About this property
Pine Cabin With Great Sea Views In Peaceful Location
This property commands fantastic views of the North Cornish coastline from Tintagel Head to Lundy Island, great for watching Atlantic sun sets from the deck, with a glass of wine in hand and perhaps a BBQ'd supper treat! Listen to the rooks nesting at the end of the day and get away from the hustle and bustle of it all, in this secluded, quiet corner of the village. Hideaway offers a great place to relax, sunbathe or explore the area from . It is a 15 minute walk to the South West Coastpath and offers several circular walking routes, one being via the serene feeling Minster Church and through St Peter's Wood down to Boscastle harbour. The cabin has 1 double bedroom, 1 twin-with space for a travel cot (not provided) a shower room with toilet, a well equipped kitchen/ lounge/diner, a deck, patio, and BBQ area in the garden. Visitors can dine alfresco on the decking or in the garden whilst admiring the sea views. The village is very picturesque and offers great places to eat and drink, coastal walks and much much more to explore locally. Parking space for one vehicle next to the property, no need to park in the car park and pay-out extra. Tea, coffee provided. Free WiFi. 15 steps up to the property make this unsuitable for wheelchair access. Sorry no pets.

Hosted by Juliette Bridge

I was born and bred in Boscastle, I have lived here most of my life except for various worldwide trips. But for me Cornwall really does beat anywhere else! It's beaches and sunsets win over any I have seen across the globe. I especially enjoy swimming in the sea, jumping off the historic pier in the harbour, cycling the roads or paths and walking along the South West Coastpath. I love taking picnics (or a pasty) up to the lookout to stare at that expansive sea. There is so much to do in Cornwall, there are live bands at the Eden project, sea kayaking at Port Isaac, open-air theatre at the Minack , National Trust properties, award winning places to eat with well known chefs, and an ever growing wine & cider industry. As a foodie I am always in search of good food & drink, especially afternoon teas, as well as sourcing quality meat, fish and vegetables. Luckily Boscastle farm shop opened up on the outskirts of the village, making it a great walk or drive, that meets all these criteria!
Why they chose this property
It's was the land behind the house my Gran lived in when I was growing up. As a kid at my Gran's, I would learn to make pasties and camp on the lawn in a tent during summer, listening to the rooks nesting in the trees on balmy nights. This was once a vegetable plot. So I was pleased as punch at the opportunity to take this property on and 'keep it local' -as they say! I am quite an active person and enjoy the benefits of the countryside, moorland and seaside, I especially love cycling. I think Hideaway is a great spot to explore from, enjoying what North Cornwall has to offer. 40 minutes can have you at Rick Steins fish and chip shop in Padstow (alternatively cycle there from Wadebridge with all the family). There are a variety of beaches within 15-40 minutes drive going both North and South, most of which offer surf lessons, kayaking or coasteering. There are plenty of walking and cycle routes for all abilities. There are so many fantastic spots in North Cornwall, stunning vistas and a great local atmosphere to boot!
What makes this property unique
There is so much to see, do, taste and try that I can't list them all here.
Something that is special to Boscastle is The Boscastle Buoys, who sing traditional Cornish songs in the local pub every Tuesday night, they always delight!
I have compiled an information guide which can be found in the cabin to help you decide what to do first! Whatever your tastes there will be something: from train rides, kid's play worlds/farms, wild food foraging , kayaking trips, outdoor concerts, sailing, ice-skating, trout fishing, horse riding, hiring a classic car or a day trip to the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall has a lot to offer you! So come and experience it!
