The apartment is located in a portion of sky-ground corner of a castle dating back to the seventh century. The entire castle-town lives on today thanks to a valuable restoration that has earned the first national award (Conservation Foundation in London, sponsored by Ford, CNR, ENEA and Rusconi) for the best architectural salvage.
The village is associated with the ASDI - Italian Historic Houses Association
The property includes approximately 45 acres of oaks and olive trees.

Our week in Monte Lagello

We stayed in this house for one week. The swimmingpool is perfect. The complex is very lovely situated. Quit and peacefully. The kitchen is good, but the oven is really too small. We have to slice the pizza to bake it, so it takes a long time. Further the showering is with almost cold water. Further did we have a really good week here and we are definitly coming back, but we do not know if we want to return to this house, because of the cold shower. Maybe we can try other appartments.

I'm really surprised to hear a complain about a problem with hot water while I have not been informed during your stay. It's my personal apartment for holidays, I use it myself a very few times a year, and it happens that a sophisticated water temperature control, because of calcare deposits limits too much water temperature that (I personally experienced it) was around 32-34 degrees. I had it fixed straightway with a very small cost, but I still don't understand why I haven't been told during you stay (It could have been fixed in real time) while you post it here after your departure. Further the apartment includes a very small oven to heat the bread, like a toaster, no large oven was promised, while as far as I know mine is the best equipped apartment in the complex including washing machine, plasma TV and a lot of architectural details that are shown in the pictures. No other comments.

Beautiful relaxation

We had a wonderful holiday at Monte Lagello. It is a beautifully restored old village in the Umbrian hills. It is set away from nearby amenities but this encourages you to relax and just enjoy being in such lovely surroundings. If you want to explore you are within easy reach of many lovely day trips to historic towns such as Assisi, Orvieto, Spoletto and Perugia. Lake Trasemino is also not far away. There is a good sized pool also for relaxing around and soaking up the views. This is a fantastic apartment/house. It easily slept our family of five with plenty of room in the living areas to relax and a lovely self contained private garden for relaxation and outdoor eating. The house has lots of lovely character features such as beams, rustic decoration and wall pictures. This was our second visit to Monte Lagello and I am sure we will return again. Would not hesitate to stay at Gianmarios house again, it really is special.

Don't Trust description !!!

The property itself is very beautiful and as pictured in the advertisement. It is a corner apartment in a restored building with 20 units in it, VERY narrow stairs to 2nd level and then to 3rd. the UNIT does NOT have internet, so if you want to do any "remote" work, you would need to go to the pool area, or to the common area gathering room (which is locked all day). The owner said if i had a complaint, then send it to VRBO because THEY published the ad...what a joke. It's HIS property, and HE approved the ad. Arrogant owner! Caretaker of the property was awesome!

The common WI-FI only in common spaces (common hall and swimming pool) is clearly described in the ad so what is written by the guest is a nonsense

Perfect holidays

Montelagello was a dreamplace to spend our holidays ! Living in a castle with a great sight and a pool, that's paradise. Furthermore Nazareno (the keeper of the castle) was absolutely nice and always available for any question.
