A former rectory in 1600 which unites within its walls the silence and the secrets of everyday life peasant. To comply with its spirit any radical intervention upset the building: so the past can live in harmony with the modern needs. In attics, where once gathered supplies for the winter, there are now bedrooms framed by small windows: small pictures that they find between patches of olive and cypress walls of Perugia. In the distance Mount Subasio Assisi with its rich history and spirituality. Annexed there is a chapel (1659) dedicated to the Annunciation: its belfry vigil discreetly on the house and the garden of fragrant lavender and herbs.

Olivella was a very special place to stay! We loved the historical nature of the building and furnishings. How often do you have the opportunity to stay in a building from the 1600's? The kitchen is very functional and we enjoyed cooking a few meals and eating in the dining room. The host met us and showed us around the property; it's gated and very secure. Thank you Piergiorgio for offering such a unique property as a rental!

Beautiful Umbria

The house was just as we expected it, nestled in the beautiful Umbrian hillside. We loved the space and all the amazing treasures around every corner. The pool was wonderful after visits to all the amazing towns in the area. Piergiorgio was fantastic, he welcomed us on arrival and was really helpful with recommendations during our stay. A charming experience in Umbria

My husband and I had a delightful Thanksgiving getaway in this unique, charming house. Piergiorgio was an amazing host - very helpful and responsive. The house, views, garden, goats and family of fowl made our stay relaxing and fun.

Very nice old house, plenty of space. The garden is huge and very natural, the pool is larger than it appears in the pictures. Though being surrounded by other houses, you have the feeling of being completely isolated in the middle of nowhere, but still within a 15-minutes drive to Perugia center. A very well equipped supermarket is just a 6-minutes drive away. The communication with the owner was very prompt and friendly.

Wonderful family retreat

What a treat this was for a family of 7 who are scattered all around the country. The house met all of our needs and the area our dreams. The three goats helped us forget our dogs and the chickens and their eggs helped us feel like farmers. It was a fabulousl experience and Piergiorgio our host was wonderful. We hope to return in the future.

Beautiful Villa in Umbria

A beautiful, centuries-old house surrounded by the greenery of Umbria. The house is vast, clean, and of an antique-decor style that me and my partner love. The goats and chickens were amiable companions also! And our brief meetings with Marida, Piergiorgio, and Dante were a real pleasure, they came across as kind, caring people and were lovely to have a chat with.

A little piece of paradise

I stayed at this beautiful and welcoming house for 6 nights with my family. When we arrived we could not believe our eyes, we felt so lucky. The house is large spacious and tastefully furnished, with everything you could possibly need and so many thoughtful finishing touches. We loved staying there and our children thought we were in a castle. The garden is very large and well maintained, the pool is lovely and refreshing. The owner Piergiorgio is incredibly kind spirited and generous, a pleasure to talk to. We will definitely go back when we visit perugia again.

Fantastic Property in a Phenomenal location

WOW, what an amazingly beautiful property. It is the fulfillment of everyone's dream of the house you want to live in for the rest of your life. Full of history, antiques, charm and comfort it truly is the perfect vacation home. The location is beautiful and convenient, overlooking a valley and gorgeous sunsets. While there we saw the most amazing DOUBLE RAINBOW that any of us had ever seen. The house is very close to Perugia, one the most beautiful towns in Italy and close to other gorgeous towns such as Assisi, Spoleto and Spello. Piergiorgio and his mother were the most gracious, accommodating and warm hosts imaginable. I highly recommend a vacation in this amazing home in a truly breathtaking part of Italy.

A Beautiful House in the hills of Perugia

La Olivella will seduce all who love the beauties of Italy. A fine old stone house set in hills with wonderful Appenine views, including Assisi set on the flanks of Monte Subasio, illuminated by the setting sun, and lighted through the night. It is difficult to describe this ancient house. I will just write of four of my personal joys. Passing to swim early each day through a grove of Olive and Fig. The vast and beautiful main bedroom. The elegant dining room. Long evenings dining outside. On behalf of one of my four guests I must also mention the household goats and hens which she delighted to feed. And finally Sig. Dante, the owner's right hand man, always willing to come and help and charm us.

De formidables vacances en famille

Nous avons passé des vacances très agréables en famille avec nos 3 enfants. La maison est immense, avec des grandes chambres bien décorées avec une salle de bain pour chacun et un ventilateur qui aide à supporter la chaleur. Il y a plusieurs petits salons qui offrent des espaces de repos et même un piano qui a fait la joie de nos enfants. La cuisine est bien équipée et assez pratique. Le jardin est immense, il y a aussi plein de petits espaces avec des tables, des chaises, des canapés, des fauteuils, des parasols qui permettent de profiter de l’extérieur. La piscine est assez grande, peu profonde mais très agréable. Les animaux amusent les enfants. La région est magnifique et certaines fenêtres de la maison offrent une vue splendide sur la campagne environnante. Nous avons pu visiter Pérouse, Assise, Spolete, Orvieto et nous avons fait une excursion jusqu’à la mer Adriatique sur les conseils de Piergiorgio pour découvrir la très belle Riviera del Conero et passer une journée à la plage. Merci à Piergiorgio pour son accueil et à Monsieur Dante pour l’entretien de la piscine et des animaux. Nous sommes tous enchantés de notre séjour en Italie.

Une propriété magnifique

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans cette magnifique maison de famille au cœur de l‘Ombrie. La propriété est très belle, plus encore que sur les photos et regorge de petits coins romantiques et poétiques. La piscine est grande et très agréables et la maison décorée avec goût. Reise in die Vergangenheit

Das Haus ist lebendige Geschichte. Wir haben hier einen hier schönen Urlaub verbracht. Es ist über 300 Jahre alt, wurde aber renoviert und modernisiert. Das WLAN (wichtig mit Teenagern) ist stabil und unbegrenzt nutzbar. Groß gewachsene Gäste müssen im Obergeschoss etwas auf ihren Kopf achten: bauartbedingt niedrige Deckenbalken ;-). Leider war eine der vier Duschen defekt und konnte nicht genutzt werden. Aber da es ja noch drei andere Bäder gibt, war dies kein wirkliches Problem. Das Haus hat einen schönen, parkähnlichen Garten, viele gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten, teils mit tollem Panoramablick. Witterungsbedingt konnte wir jeden Morgen im Hof vor dem Haus frühstücken. Sehr entspannend. Das Gelände ist vollständig eingezäunt, so dass sich unser mitgebrachter Familienhund hier frei und ohne Ausbruchsmöglichkeit bewegen konnte. Der Pool war sauber. Er wurde regelmäßig gereinigt und der Wasserzustand überprüft. Es hat im Haus an nichts gefehlt. Der Gastgeber Pieregiorgio, seine Mama und sein Gärtner Dante, der sich jeden Tag um die Hühner und Ziegen kümmert, sind extrem nett und hilfsbereit. Immer wieder wurden wir gefragt, ob alles okay ist oder ob es irgendwelche Probleme gibt. Das Wohlergehen der Gäste liegt ihnen spürbar am Herzen. Vielen Dank!

Sehr schönes Haus in toller Umgebung

Wir, zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder im Alter von 8 und 10, haben 16 Nächte in diesem schönen Haus verbracht und uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz und ist hervorragend ausgestattet, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Es hat einen großen Garten mit Schatten spendenden Olivenbäumen, unter denen man wunderbar relaxen kann. Zur Freude unserer drei Kinder gab es sogar Ziegen und Hühner, sodass wir auch immer mit frischen Eiern versorgt waren. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut: Man erreicht schnell Perugia und Assisi und ist trotzdem auf dem Land. Der Vermieter ist ein ausgesprochen liebenswürdiger und hilfsbereiter Mensch, der immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht und uns mit vielen Tipps zu Restaurants und Stränden versorgt hat. Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit unserem Urlaub und empfehlen das Haus und seinen Vermieter uneingeschränkt weiter!

Casale bellissimo, spazi molto grandi ed accoglienti. Giardino molto bello, con piscina tra gli ulivi. Vicinissimo a Perugia ed Assisi. Perfetto per vacanze in famiglia o con amici. Una bella vacanza

Sono abituata a viaggiare e da quando sono diventata mamma preferisco evitare di andare in albergo. Non è la prima volta che uso questo sito per affittare una casa dove trascorrere una vacanza con la mia famiglia, ma è la prima volta che vengo accolta con quel calore e gentilezza che ti lasciano senza parole, i proprietari sono delle squisite persone. Il casale è splendido e offre un'atmosfera da sogno, il giardino immenso e ben curato, la piscina è immersa nel verde degli ulivi e piante di lavanda. Quando vidi l'annuncio me ne innamorai subito, ma dopo averlo visto di persona posso dire che le foto non rendono giustizia allo splendore del posto. Ultimo, ma non meno importante, scambiare quattro chiacchiere al mattino mentre prendevo il caffè con il custode che sia chiama Dante è tutta  una poesia. Un posto perfetto per rilassarsi e visitare la bella Umbria. È sicuramente un posto che raccomando e dove spero di tornare.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est immense, pleine de charme, très bien décorée, la piscine est plus grande que ce que nous imaginions. Nous sommes venus en famille (5 enfants), c’était parfaitement adapté. Visites la journée à Perouse, Assise et Rome (proche). Et le soir bain dans la piscine et maison fraîche. Chèvres et poules ont fait le bonheur des enfants. Très belle qualité d’accueil. Nous avons eu un problème de voiture et le propriétaire nous a vraiment beaucoup aidés à trouver un garage sérieux, ce qui a permis de vivre un beau séjour. Merci beaucoup !!!

A Piece of Old Italy

L'Olivella is a charming old world farm house which has been updated but not modernised, leaving the beauty of the old ways but without the hardships. There were four of us staying and we thoroughly enjoyed it. You have to work at it in some ways but it is worth the experience Thank you Piergiorgio for sharing your property

Ländliche Romantik in umbrien

Unvergesslicher einmaliger urlaub, den die ganze familie genossen hat. Das haus aus dem jahr 1663 ist liebevollst gepflegt und erhalten. Am Hang sehr nah an perugia in den hügeln gelegen geht ein traumhafter blick in die ebene um und auf assisi und die hügel und Landschaft darum herum. Ausstattung und Anwesen bieten, was das herz begehrt. 3 der vier Schlafzimmer liegen so weit voneinander wntfernt und sind jedes mit badezimmer ausgestattet (eines mit badewanne, alle anderen mit Dusche), dass man auch mit 2-3 Ehepaaren anreisen könnte; 1 weiteres mit einem bett grenzt an eines drei elterlichen Schlafzimmer an. Die kleine landKüche ermöglicht mit ihrer Ausstattung (gasherd, kühlschrank) unproblematisches kochen und Selbstversorgung. könnte auch kinderzimmer dienen. Der Eigentümer piergeorgio ist unglaublich zuvorkommend, warmherzig und hilfsbereit. Was mehr kann man sich wünschen, wenn man auf italien pur aus ist?
