Brickens is a great base for a break in the West of Ireland. It is 30mins drive from Ireland West Airport (Car hire is available from the airport). 10mins drive away is the thriving town of Claremorris with a mix of large supermarkets and unique local businesses, leisure activities including swimming pool, tennis courts, golf course, athletics track and the beautiful Clare Lake and Land of Giants 5km park walk with children's playground adjacent.
The Residence is an hours drive from places like Wesport, Galway City, Sligo Town, Athlone, making it an ideal location to explore what the West, including the Wild Atlantic Way, and the Midlands have to offer.
The Great Western Greenway is a fabulous 42 Km greenway rail trail from Westport to Achill, passing through Newport and Mulranny as it runs along the coast of Clew Bay, This off road trail can be used by cyclists and walkers.
Lough Key Forest Park, just and hours drive away in Roscommon, is a vast nature area with meadows, walking paths, picnic grounds, a 12th century abbey ruin and lots of activities for children.
