When you do venture out, there is much to enjoy close to hand, whether you head into the wine-producing Chianti heartland, with its popular hilltop villages such as Gaiole and Castellina, or turn towards the dazzling cultural treasures of Arezzo, Siena and Florence.

The owners have done a lot to ensure guests of Villa di Capannole will be super-relaxed. Everything here feels generous, from the substantial pool and immaculately kept garden to the open interiors offset by substantial furnishings and gentle, ochre-washed walls - and let's not forget the spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. If that's not enough to switch your 'off' button, you have a Jacuzzi, compact sauna and spa area as well - so why not book an on-site massage? The heated pool, open fireplace and wonderfully comfortable interiors also make this a great low-season option.

It is possible to book a massage and health treatments in advance for additional costs. The owners produce a selection of red/white wines, prosecco and olive oil which are available for guests to purchase on site.The owner can also provide breakfast and dinner in the villa on request.
