My houseboat is a lovely, quiet and comfortable place to stay in Amsterdam, close to Carré Theater, Hermitage, Hortus Botanicus, Artis Zoo, and lots of other famous tourist places and last but not least the Amstel river. Enjoy Amsterdam from within!
The houseboat consists of a tastefull bedroom, a modern bathroom, a luxurious kitchen and a warm, comfortable living room with a beautifull canal view. (Officially the rental space is limited to the bedroom and bathroom). Enjoy the view and lovely atmosphere in the quiet historic neighbourhood!
My place is a very stable, solidly constructed and well maintained houseboat. I like to share my boat with guests from all over the world, because it's such a unique and typical Amsterdam way of living.

Amazing weekend in an amazing city and staying on a house boat made it all the more enjoyable. The house is well maintained and close enough to walk to great cafes, shops, and museums. We would definitely stay again. Albert was very helpful and an excellent host!
Great stay. Albert was a lovely host. The house boat was clean, accessible, an had all the amenities we could have hoped for. The bed was lovely as was th kitchen and river view. Everything was within easy walking distance
A wonderful central location, a nicely decorated house boat, and a lovely Amsterdam experience overall. Albert our host met us at check in. We appreciated the very well equipped kitchen (including spices, olive oil, espresso machine etc). A great bakery a few blocks away - Bakhuys. We’d love to come back.
The houseboat was well appointed and ideally located near most of the attractions and restaurants we visited. The host was generous and accommodating to our needs.
Our host met us on the first day and kindly allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in, which we really appreciated. The location is very good—close to public transportation, a wonderful bakery, and several good cafés and restaurants. The houseboat’s outdoor area was great for enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and I imagine it would be even more enjoyable in warmer weather. The heating system and heated bathroom floor were a bit challenging to figure out, but we were comfortable throughout our stay. The WiFi also worked very well.Overall, we were happy with our stay. The only drawback was the construction directly across from the houseboat. A hotel is being built, and it appears to be a long-term project. The construction currently takes up much of the block, limiting access and requiring you to walk through a fenced-in area to reach the boat. At night, the area can feel a bit quiet and isolated. That said, traveling with my husband, we felt comfortable—and once on the boat, it was cozy and relaxing.
This was a gem - everything was lovely
To be on the canal was peaceful and easy location for everything
Comfy bed and everything you need
To sit on the patio and enjoy the canal life was very special
We will be back!

Great property, great location, great host! Wonderful way to live like a local in Amsterdam!
Albert is a wonderful communicator and has taken great care to pay attention to detail. The heated bathroom floors were one of our favorite details, but also the porch is a perfect slice of charm, the milk frother for the coffee is a lovely touch, the hidden tv (with Netflix), a great book of neighborhood suggestions…and the bed was very comfortable and large (which is a rare luxury in the area). We can’t wait to stay again next year.
We had a great time staying at the boathouse in Amsterdam. It was set up nice and had everything you could need. Loved being on the water. The owner was amazing and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed
Albert greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the houseboat. Excellent accommodations with a small outdoor patio to watch the ducks on the canal. Excellent location, central to all. Perfect stay.
Albert, the host, was phenomenal from the date we booked the canal boat and all through our stay with tips and recommendations. Location allowed us to walk everywhere in Amsterdam.
The stay on the houseboat was perfect start to finish for us. The boat has all your needs covered. And the location was great. Right in a central location easily accessible to many great neighborhoods. We would definitely stay here again.
The houseboat was perfect! Close to everything and easy to get around the city by walking or using public transportation. Albert was a great host and the houseboat had everything we needed. We will recommend it to our friends.
Beautiful houseboat in a very quiet residential area. Still close to walk across the Amstel. Nice to see the boats on the canal passing by. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful stay.
Great houseboat with good location. Enjoyed the outdoor space to sit and watch the boats and the canals. Very clean and owner was available to help with any questions.
Unique, fun experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Well located, great neighborhood restaurants and fun to watch the small boats float by your window. Albert, the host, was a great communicator and made our stay hassle free.
