We loved our stay at Hans canal boathouse. Fantastic location and friendly helpful and generous host. The boat is really unique, very clean, well equipped and comfortable with a gorgeous view and lots to look at, boats going by. Great outdoor area. Han had complimentary beer, wine, juice and milk for us in the fridge and specially delivered some stroppewaffels. We highly recommend Hans boathouse and we would book it again. Thank you so much Han.

The Perfect Place To Stay

We love staying here whenever we're in Amsterdam! Everything about this boat is perfect! Nothing beats sleeping on the water and waking up to the view every morning. Book it, you won't regret it :)

This house boat served us very well. We weren’t sure what to expect but Han was informative and helpful. The location was perfect, on the water, close to the train station and we walked all over Amsterdam. We would return if the occasion arose.

We enjoyed our stay on the Bamboo Boat. Han was a gracious host and responded to our queries in a timely manner. The Boat was clean and in a great location for access to Central Station and all the districts. Great for exploring. The bonus for us were the bikes. The views from the sun deck and living space were fabulous. Wonderful for kicking back after busy days seeing the sights. The Boat was quiet and peaceful especially at night. The bed comfortable. We had no trouble sleeping! As for cooking on board, we had no plans but for those who do be aware there is no cook top or oven, only a microwave, toaster, kettle and single hot plate - (City ordinance prohibits flammable fuels on board.) All in all a great spot.

Boat with a view

Had been to Amsterdam but not stayed on a boat. This was a wonderful option and it gave us the perspective of being on one of the many homes you could live in floating on a camel. Loved it. Location location location.

Bamboo boat stay in Amsterdam.

What a fun time, very unique stay in a boat. Lots of room for 3 of us and the deck was so awesome to sit and have a beverage after a day of sightseeing. Han was a great host and was very helpful with our stay and getting us around. Highly recommend.

Great "Amsterdam" experience! Very close to the main train station with great views of the harbor. Host (Han) was super nice and very flexible with our last minute booking and late arrival. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, Dutch experience! Boat was very comfortable and had ample room for our party of 3. Refrigerator available, but no cooking appliances and you must be able to climb steep steps/ladder, so not a good option for mobility-challenged. Wifi was good.

Something different in a great location

We wanted a different experience than the usual apartment and Han’s boat was it. Very clean and comfortable but requires some agility to move around…after all, it is a boat. Han was a great host and the location is a short walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go. I highly recommend Bamboo Boat if visiting Amsterdam

My family of four enjoyed our stay immensely. We were delayed by lost luggage and Han waited for us to make sure we got situated. The boat was great fun, well equipped and exactly as described. Fantastic House Boat With Centralized Location

House boat was fantastic! Han was a great host and has done some great personal customized carpentry and other nice features to his house boat. The place is well put together and very convenient walk from Centraal Station and many other attractions in Amsterdam. We came with our 2 elementary aged boys and they loved it!

Perfect location and lovely host

The boat is absolutely gorgeous and in a perfect spot! Our host was very hospitable and had also provided us with a very generous welcome pack. Waking distance from everything and incredibly quiet and peaceful. Travelling with teens so the extra shower and toilet came in very handy ! We will be back :-)

A dream in the middle of Amsterdam

The houseboat with its location in the center of Amsterdam is truly unique and highly recommended. Everything your heart desires is within easy reach on foot or by bike. Apart from the occasional siren, we sometimes didn't even feel like we were in a city. The houseboat is very clean and well maintained and Han is a super friendly host who is happy to help with advice. We really enjoyed it and therefore I am happy to give it a 10/10 rating. We enjoyed Han‘s place very much. It was very convenient to Amsterdam within walking distance of many things. The bed was very comfortable. If I was to suggest any changes, it would be to get a microwave. We could have used it once or twice. Thank you very much!
