About this property
Breathtaking location - simple 1930's home with log fires & amazing sunsets
Our bungalow in a truly idyllic location with the most amazing view over the Dedham Vale. Modestly updated. it oozes character with 2 cozy fires, luxe ensuite, Fired Earth shower room all on the same level as it is a bungalow. The west facing covered verandah is wonderful to sit and watch the sun go down over the valley - maybe light the fire-pit and sit outside by in the chilly evenings. There is unlimited free WiFi for guests. The 3 beds will be made but please bring your own towels. More guests could be put up on inflatable mattresses if you'd like to bring them for the attic/loft space - please enquire about small additional charge. The home has 3 bedrooms plus a loft space which could be used for 2 more people or perhaps children hunkering down, with supervision. The kitchen has a new large American style fridge freezer, induction hob, 2 ovens, dishwasher, microwave & kettle. There is a utility room for stays of over ten days with washing machine and tumble dryer. It is a perfect get away, and close to Colchester, Ipswich and Lavenham. There is a wealth of great restaurants within a short cab drive away including Le Talbooth with just about the most extensive wine list in East Anglia ! There is a great little village shop (Co-op) in the village and a bakery and several pubs, and just 10 minutes drive away is Manningtree main-line station, and more shops, a local market, Sadlers, an amazing traditional shoe mender, fish and chip shop and all the essentials.

Lovely property - super chic and practical at the same time. Beautiful grounds overlooking rolling fields of Dedham. Perfect. Will return !

How lovely to read your kind words - I’m so glad you liked staying at the house. I hope you helped yourselves to the blackberries in the hedge too.
Can’t wait to see you again ... late Autumn over the Vale is rather nice and without waxing too lyrical it’s like a changing painting everyday.
Safe journey to you both and thank you so much for staying.
