Nestled in lush greenery, this pretty brand new chalet located in the classified village of Lagrasse is ideal for a couple;
A real relaxing holiday in a particularly Zen environment.

RELAXATION AREA with bubble baths and JACUZZI at the bottom of the chalet.

Particularly quiet, with its 2 sunny terraces (30 m2) surrounded by cypresses and olive trees, you can enjoy the very clear view of the village and the Corbières.

Deckchairs, 2 dining areas on the terraces for moments of idleness with the song of the cicadas.
Plancha available for grilling.

The choice of warm comfort for your well-being:
- Very cocooning sleeping area with a 160 bed and 2 built-in cupboards.
-Pretty fully equipped kitchenette (hob, small oven, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, all kitchen utensils.)
-A dining area is integrated with modern stools.

At the confluence of the Alsou and the Orbieu nestles Lagrasse classified "one of the most beautiful villages in France" and its Sainte-Marie abbey, founded according to legend in the 8th century by Charlemagne.
It is one of the most prestigious abbeys in France.
A 12th century bridge links the abbey site to the medieval village on the right bank of the Orbieu;
you will be able to discover the old hall, the painted ceilings dating from the Middle Ages, art craft stalls, local products.

Ideally located for touring the region, you can easily visit the City of Carcassonne, the Cathar Castles, the Canal du Midi, the beaches; (on average 30 mins from Lagrasse)

Nous avons séjourné 15 jours dans le chalet de Véronique situé au- dessus de sa maison.Ce chalet est idéal pour un couple.2 belles terrasses en fonction du soleil , pas de vis à vis, une belle vue ,du parking(à l ' ombre), à 2 minutes du centre de Lagrasse( très jolie petite ville ) et pourtant au calme. La région regorge de sites de ballades et de coins de baignade bref, nous nous sommes régalés. Véronique est disponible pour tout renseignement et nous tenons à la remercier pour tout( et pour la confiture d' arbouse que nous avons découverte).Merci

Une semaine au soleil dans un bel environnement

Nous avons passé une semaine dans ce petit chalet bien équipé et très chaleureux, avec ses deux terrasses. Très bien situé, proche du charmant village médiéval Lagrasse et de départ de belles balades. La propriétaire, Véronique, tout en étant discrète, est de très bons conseils pour ce qu'il faut voir et faire aux alentours. A conseiller vivement !

Merveilleux! Superb! Fantastisch!, Fantastico!

Let me write this review in English so that hopefully it reaches more people. Superb! LaGrasse is a fabulous little village. I do not want to praise too much for fear that it will be invaded. Parking lots are found at the entrances of the village for visitors to leave their cars. Of course, if you have rented Veronique's place, no worries as you have private parking right at the bottom of the property. There are no buses full of tourist, just a simple, quiet, peaceful French life. With 5 restaurants in the small Medieval town, a bakery, a general food store, wine everywhere, you just have everything you will ever need or want. Situated on the bank of a small river, it makes for a lovely walk to the medieval abbey. The studio is private located above Veronique's house. Beautiful tall and majestic cypress trees border the terrace. They may block a little of the view, but they provide privacy. With two terraces on either side of the studio you can take advantage of the morning sun or the late afternoon warmth. The studio is small but VERY well appointed. The shower is GREAT and the bed was very comfortable. Very well decorated with peaceful colours and astute storage space. Just great. This region, called the AUDE is fabulous, the area is called Corbieres. The Corbières is one of the wildest areas of France with one of the lowest population densities, tucked away in the foothills of the pyrennees. It is Cathar Country with Castle Ruins dates back to the First century. As for Veronique, she is a charming and warm person. She may call her apartment Zen, but she is Zen, cool and relaxed. I would like to give a special thanks to her partner, Claude, who gave me the most fabulous massage ever in the studio. I sincerely, recommend Veronique's house, also called the Blue House, for it's peacefullness, great location ( 3 minute walk from the main area of the village). Just think of those fresh morning croissants, or the afternoon aperitif. France, oh Great country, Veronique and Claude, I love you!
