About this property
Spotted Fawn Farm/Cabin - Agritourism
Our cabin is located on beautiful Lake Hartwell, on almost 60 acres. We are a rescue farm of about 50 animals ranging from horses, calves, sheep, emu, giant tortoise, lots of dogs and chickens and two mini-donkeys. We welcome traveling horses and we also have a dock for you to bring your boat. We have long trails for walking or horseback riding, seclusion for those who want to get away from it all and plenty to do for families. We host lots of weddings and, in addition to this cabin, have a three bedroom house with two kings, one queen and one full-sized bed, our popular “Don” restored 50’s camper (super nice) and our loft, which we rent privately. We love dogs on a leash and have visiting dogs most weeks, but dogs left alone in the cabin must be in a crate. 😀 If you are interested in bringing your horse or want to inquire about wedding pricing. To make perfectly clear, as in our sleeping description, two adults only. Two small children, SMALL children, under 5, can fit on the futon. This is not the cabin for a family with teens. We would love to have bigger families in our cottage! This cabin locks from the inside but has never had a door key. It’s never been a problem, but please be aware. We were recently asked for the key, after 6 years, and were flummoxed. We had never thought of it or been asked. Safety isn’t much of an issue on the farm in Hartwell. However, please be aware not to leave valuables when leaving the cabin now that we have.

Nested in a wooded area on a farm that specializes in rescues, this cabin offers a quaint getaway. You’ll have access to Lake Hartwell, animals to feed and the things to do that the area has to offer. To top it all off, the owners are absolutely amazing humans! A must stay!!!
The clean comfy cozy cabin was perfect for our birthday getaway. The hosts Elexis and Buddy couldn’t have been more helpful and hospitable. But the animals and abilities to interact and connect made the experience exceptional!
Absolute wonderful location. Close to Hartwell but isolated enough to provide necessary stress relief. Elexis and Buddy could not have been better hosts. Our westie is still recovering from our hikes, fire pit and visits with the farm critters.
I brought my wife and our puppy here for a surprise getaway for my wife's birthday and we had a great two night stay. The cabin was adorable and very cozy and the property was gorgeous. We loved meeting (and feeding) all the animals (the donkeys were our favorites :) and so enjoyed going on long walks through the woods with our dogs. The hosts were amazing and very responsive. They also provided great local recommendations for meals out. We will definitely be back!

A little slice of heaven!
What a lovely tiny house vacation. Even in drizzly weather, Spotted Fawn Farm cabin was magical. Elexis had let us know in advance that the fawns had just been weaned - but we never expected to see first 4, then 6 sweet spindly fawns frolicking across the grass, and one of them really asking for our attention! (Don't worry, we studiously averted our eyes and didn't pet him). We walked thru the woods to the lake and got a nice view there, too. Beautiful and relaxing.

Quiet & Cozy!
Enjoyed our stay at the Fawn Farm Cabin! Lots of wildlife in the area, including, you guessed it, about 10 or so fawns roaming around in the brush! Actually saw a beautiful Red Fox in full flight chasing one of the owner's chickens :). No TV or Internet was a relief from the daily rat race and the quiet was very welcome with my wife and I !! We attended the BassMaster Classic and had a bit of a drive to Greenville, but enjoyed the countryside and empty roads enough to make the trip well worth it! Owners were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this Cabin for anyone looking for some time away from the hustle and bustle we all seem to be stuck with. Cabin was very clean and comfortable.

The owner of this property is beyond rude, condescending, and threatening. The waiver of liability that you will be forced to sign prior to arrival (AND-- DONT YOU DARE ASK FOR A HARD COPY!! SHE WILL TREAT YOU WITH THE UTMOST CONTEMPT!) is ridiculous. You give away any rights whatsover...so that if anything happens, as in, for example your death- for any reason! -on their property- it is your fault. The hostility-and threatening manner of this woman is beyond belief. Don't you dare go down the driveway--which I guarantee your GPS WILL(!!!!) absolutely lead to you--you will be threatened to be kicked out. She will then tell you there is a really scary motel down the street she can send you to, if she cancels your reservation. I stayed 1 night out of the 2 I booked and paid for indavance. WHY? because the manner in which we were threatened and intimidated (she PROFILED me on line prior to our checkin!) was such that I DID NOT FEEL SAFE STAYING THERE. Absolutely DO NOT STAY HERE.
My wife and I were visiting friends in Clemson and luckily found this hidden jewel rather than staying in a hotel room. Way off the beaten path, tucked back in the woods, and such an awesome place to rest after long days. Farm animals, lake nearby, clean & cozy accommodations...made for a perfect alternative to the hustle & bustle of city life. Elexis is awesome and so hospitable, and we look forward to returning!
This is a great place to stay if you want peace, quiet and tranquility. We greatly enjoyed all that nature has to offer, while having little to no impact on our surroundings.
Not only the place is amazing cozy and relaxing but Alexis and Buddy are the best hostess you can have
The cabin is the cutest and the location is incredible. Everything is like afairy tale the chickens the horses the donky the pig Mimsy and the three cutest dogs Finn Phobe and Agnes . We enjoyed our stay and are planning to clme back
By far one of the coolest places my family and I have stayed. The property is beautiful, the animals are amazing and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We will indeed be spending many more nights there.
The tiny cabin was a little cramped but cute and adequate for 2 people. Sitting on the little porch enjoying the peaceful view was my favorite thing to do. I loved taking walks in the woods alone and feeling safe. The animals, especially the fawns, were so much fun. Hostess is very accommodating.
I can not emphasize how wonderful this property is. The host were beyond amazing and the view was unbelievable. If you are looking for time to unplug and unwind this is an amazing place. If you love animals this is the place for you. We will always cherish our little cabin in the woods.
My daugther and I really enjoyed our stay. We spent a day on the lake kayaking and swimming. My daugther also enjoyed feeding all the animals. The cabin was perfect for us two.
My husband, Olde English Bulldogge, and I decided to have a little babymoon and decided this cute little cabin would be the perfect little getaway, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The cabin itself was precious, cozy, and all we needed. The hosts were super nice and we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the sweet animals! We would love to come back and either stay at the cabin again or another one of the rentals on the property, and highly recommend it to others!
We had such an amazing and peaceful weekend at the cabin. Meeting all the animals and walking the trails with our dogs was fun! Thank you for a beautiful getaway!
Our hosts were so warm and accommodating! We learned so much about the animals. It was very restful and a inviting retreat from the crazy holiday season! We would love to come back in the warmer season.
