The apartment fit our needs with comfortable beds and two baths. The best part was the location to many wonderful moments of life for shopping and dining. Loved it.
Excellent we love the codes on the two doors. No keys required.

Only positive - location
The location of the apartment was excellent, everything else was extremely mediocre. It would be excellent for a group of students - that was the level of quality of all amenities. WiFi was extremely poor which is vital for traveling. Overall a disappointing experience.
The place was as advertised, clean and quiet. Located close to Market Municipal and (for us) within walking distance of the university and the town. Our host, Joel, was immediately responsive to my questions before and during our stay.
We arrived by car and parking was slightly challenging. This is not the fault of the host, just a reality. We parked in the lot of the Market Municipal. Tickets must be purchased (with coin only) and placed on the dash. No big problem once we figured it out and obtained enough euros in coin. This is noted to provide information for future guests.
We would definitely stay here again.
This apartment worked very well for our family of four. It was a luxury to have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bedrooms were really bright and cheerful, overlooking a mostly quiet little street. The living room and kitchen areas were quite small and a bit dark, but adequate for our three-day stay. It would be a challenge to cook in the tiny kitchen as there is no counter space and it is only minimally stocked. For anyone with mobility issues, note that this apartment is at the top of a small hill and you need to walk down a somewhat steep incline to get to the main pedestrian street. It’s not a long walk, but my husband has a bad knee and it’s not something we realized before booking. No big deal for most people who are able to walk well. I ran into some glitches with the check-in process in that the link the property manager sent to me was not a *live* link on VRBO. I had to go through a lot of machinations and spend a lot of time to try to register the four of us on their online form. But that was probably just a fluke. Overall, a very nice apartment.
The apartment is super cute and compact. There’s 3 bedrooms but luckily we only needed 2, because the 3rd bedroom we used as out closet/storage for suitcases. It is clean and nicely decorated but fixtures/furniture, etc were not durable nor great quality. The location was great, inside the old city so we walked everywhere. We left out car in a parking area very close to the apartment and it was very reasonably priced. You won’t need your car during your stay. Communication with the host wasn’t great and was very last minute. But overall, everything worked out nicely and we had a great stay.
Coimbra is a sweet place to visit and this apartment was a charming and comfortable home base. It was nicely appointed with cozy towels and we all slept well. It was fun to explore the university and the gardens.
