Fantastic Location! Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and get some R&R. Walk across the street to the beach! Easy to take a day trip to many of the area's big attractions. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife nearby.

15-20 Minutes to downtown Providence, Bristol, and Newport Beach

10 minutes from the new Twin Rivers Casino in Tiverton

35-40 minutes to Cape Cod

About an hour to all Boston has to offer.

There is great fishing in the bay across the street.

Just finished renovating the kitchen!

House is decorated throughout in a nautical theme. Living room, dining room, and den have an ocean view trim w/ authentic Brass Oil Lamps. LVRM has a gas fireplace and 41" plasma HDTV w/ FireStick TV, and Free WiFi internet connection thru out the house. A full kitchen w/ nautical dishes. The bedroom has queen size bed w/ plasma HDTV and Blu-Ray DVD player, A/C. Patio w/ gas grill and screened porch, front and backyard for privacy. Direct Access to our private beach for swimming. sailing, kayaking, & boating.

Points of Interest - Famous Newport mansions & beaches, Providence's renowned Waterfire Place & Federal Hill. Close to Bristol, Cape Cod, and Boston all within less than 50 minutes driving distance.

This rental shouldn't be on Homeaway: dirty house, warms & ants in the kitchen, dirty laundry, smell

This is a terrible place to stay. Let me start with the basics: - It is listed as in ocean / beach category with the main picture displaying the ocean. The house is not on the beach and there is no access to the beach is on private property of someone across the street. - The house was dirty upon arrival. But not simply dirty - I am talking dirty laundry in the toilet, dirty toilet and shower, giant ants crawling in the kitchen, warms in the garbage, melting full stick of butter on the counter, terrible smell through the house, no toilet paper, smelly towels, flies. - the house is falling apart. During the stay mirror fell off from the toilet door and we found out it was hanging by two tiny little bolts and by the number of holes in the door fell more than once before. - This house was not cleaned for weeks if not more. - Following the stay I texted the owner, but he claimed that he found a scratch on some wall in a bedroom (the smell in the bedroom is a separate story) and charged $150 of deposit, which I will be demanding back from Homeaway. The only reason we stayed is that we came in really late and the following day spent outside avoiding the house as much as possible. Don't just avoid - run away.

Swansea Nightmare

I did not stay for the whole duration of my paid time. I can’t function on no sleep. The floors were dirty and carpet stained. The house smelled musty and wet like mold. The bed is extremely uncomfortable and smells bad, musty and not clean. This owner did not even bother to put freshly washed sheets on the bed! I slept on the air mattress on the floor. It was a rough couple of nights. The house could have been much cleaner. The kitchen counters and sink were not clean. The shower not clean, visible mold. And so tiny I doubt anyone larger than my 5’3” frame could even wash up in it. When pulling dishes out of cabinets I had to wash them before use. There are ants in the kitchen. The back door doesn’t lock. Doorknob was broken. A single woman with a child would have appreciated a way to lock up at night. The beach was not usable due to bacteria in the water. That information would have been nice to have beforehand. I really wanted a comfortable place to crash after hospital visits. My dad is sick…. This wasn’t it. Just received notification that the owner is not refunding my deposit because he needs to clean the carpets!!!! They were filthy upon arrival!!! Unbelievable!

Looking for a place to rest while you enjoy the surrounding areas, this is your spot.

Arthur could not have been more accommodating. Our check in process was very commutative, he walked us around and gave us a tour of his house explaining everything. While his house could use a woman's touch, it did have charm. The town beach is just a 2 min drive away which is very nice. Our purpose of coming into town was to hit the town of Bristol fourth of July celebrations. This house fit our needs and was just what we needed as a little family getaway.

We enjoyed our week at this rental , it was close enough to all the activities we needed to attend in Providence, but far enough away to be a quiet relaxing location. It was quaint and charming, when we had a sudden issue with the water heater the landlord had it fixed immediately. He gave me a tour of the waterfront snd when we left a couple Orr items behind he even mailed them out to us!

Sweet house, beautiful setting!

Great little house. Quiet friendly neighborhood. Owner is kind and generous a d gave personal tour. No restrictions other than pets and smoking. Awesome outside area and small room with TV and fireplace. Truly enjoyed swanee and can't wait to return!
