"IL CAPITANO" APARTMENT

The large apartment, on two floors, the 1st - living area - and the 2nd - sleeping area - can accommodate up to 8 people: it is located in the main building of the MANIERO and its name derives from its historic function, that is that of being, in the Middle Ages, the residence of the Captain guarding the fort.
The apartment is accessed through a beautiful door in Tuscan cypress all the doors are equipped with ancient medieval locks whose mechanics will enchant you just looking at them. We strongly wanted to restore not only the ancient structures and medieval environments that characterize the wonderful architecture of the MANIERO DEL BRUNELLESCHI but above all the medieval and typical Tuscan way of life: take your time to open the great cypress doors with ancient wrought iron keys without thinking about the "security code" if not your intelligence!

The apartment is divided into a living area on the 1st floor comprising: LIVING ROOM, KITCHEN and BATHROOM while in the sleeping area, located on the 2nd floor and connected by stairs, we find the CAPTAIN ROOM, LIEUTENANT ROOM and LARGE QUADRUPLE ROOM.

LIVING ROOM
The entrance and the living room are environments of particular brightness given the large windows that give onto the CORTE and the TUSCAN GARDEN: the comfortable leather sofa is the master in the living area with a TV corner on antique sideboard. Details of Tuscan charms are the old glass cabinet with a porcelain tea collection and the old fireplace which has now become an element of decoration that evokes the classic Tuscan “focarile”: the environment is extremely warm and welcoming and embellished with prints age of Tuscan cities.

KITCHEN

CAMERA DEL CAPITANO: The main bedroom of the apartment, enjoys a particularly suggestive location with exposed stone wall and two large windows that give brightness and a breathtaking view of the medieval village of Vicopisano. The beautiful canopy bed in antique spruce with precious curtains has as a background the supporting wall of the fort, completely restored with the old original exposed stones: at the foot of the bed an antique vintage trunk and the wardrobe finish the room illuminated with a suggestive medieval chandelier.

FAMILY ROOM
Large central room with triple window, Tuscan terracotta floors from Impruneta, with two large bunk beds for a total of 4 single beds big size 195cm x 85cm all made of antique fir, with a medieval security system. The rustic Tuscan piece of furniture, equipped with satellite and cable TV, also offers a bar fridge to serve the entire sleeping area.

LIEUTENANT CHAMBER
Independent room located on the beautiful background of the fortification walls: with a double window on the sides, the room enjoys great brightness with a view of both the internal courtyard of the manor and the private pool and surrounding walls .. for a truly unique awakening and suggestive! The large four-poster bed in antique spruce in the center of the room with curtains is finely embellished by the antique wardrobe and chest of drawers: finally, the detail of the suitcase as a decorative element gives an unmistakable charm in the environment.

BATHROOM for the NIGHT AREA: The bathroom, completely covered with Tuscan Impruneta tiles, serves the living area and offers a large shower, a toilet, a bidet and a typical stone sink on a local olive table that rests on an old machine. to sew.
