About this property
Finca Las Nuevas '' Casa Maria Arriba ''
From the airport
After a twenty-minute drive, you leave the pleasant but vibrant city of Málaga behind. The highway turns into a winding road up the mountain. First you have beautiful views of the Mediterranean, then the mountains take over the views. The road turns into a wide sandy path and at a height of more than five hundred meters you look out over the patchwork of the Andalusian interior, with white villages that seem to be stuck halfway up the mountainside, olive and almond trees and in the distance the karst mountains of El Torcal.
Tranquility and space at Finca Las Nuevas
When you get off at Finca Las Nuevas you can hear birds singing, crickets chirping or just a moment of absolute silence. There is a serene peace that many people crave coming from a hectic life. The old era, just next to the driveway, recalls the time when grain was grown in this area. The era is a round place where the grain was dried in earlier times. Today, the hills around Finca Las Nuevas are covered with almond and olive trees.
The location
The Finca is a hundred year old farmhouse with a typical Andalusian appearance; thick walls and small windows. Various accommodations have been made in the house while retaining the old elements and the Spanish atmosphere. Every house has its own terrace or balcony. The large communal terrace offers beautiful views over the mountains of the Sierra las Nieves.
Swimming pool and hot tub with a view
Walking down the garden the swimming pool with sun beds and the hot tub beckons. The view, with the setting sun that has colored the sky in shades of orange, is breathtaking. In the evening thousands of stars sparkle in the sky in this place where it is really getting dark.
The House
The apartment, on the first floor of the big house, is a surprise and is so much more than you expect from an apartment. You walk up the stairs via a hall decorated with typical Moorish tiles. On the stairs you stand still for a moment to view the photos of the old dilapidated finca. There is a spacious bathroom with shower and two attractive bedrooms, one with a double bed. At the end of a corridor you come to the modern but attractive cozy living room. Here is also a modern kitchen with three hot plates, oven, large fridge / freezer combination and a Senseo coffee maker. The sun through the patio doors provides a wonderfully light room. You walk towards the light and you can experience what you experience yourself. There is a large terrace with more than enough space for four people. Here you can relax and enjoy yourself.
Area
In our area you will never be bored. There is something for everyone. The culture lover will enjoy the beautiful Andalusian cities, the Moorish remains or the flamenco. Nature lovers can go out by bike or on foot to one of the many beautiful places in the area.
How nice it is to sometimes not do anything at all! Relax on the beach, by a turquoise lake or just by our swimming pool with a view. If the children want something different then you can take a cooling walk through a river, make chocolate in a white mountain village, look up a water park on the coast or enjoy a nice walk with our dogs.
Our dogs are used to guests and greet you cheerfully when you arrive. They know that they are not allowed in the houses. (That is why we do not allow pets). Don't like dogs, no problem. If you don't give them attention, they won't come to you.
