The Lodge at Baker Pond is a great place for family reunions, work retreats, quilting groups, or just gathering with your family. Indoors you will find many comforts and conveniences that you will throughly enjoy during your stay in the 4,025 square feet of indoor living space. In addition, there are several fun outdoor activities right in the back yard all to be enjoyed at your own risk of course. These activities include boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, 6 hole disk golf around the pond and maybe a bit of ice skating in the cold of winter to name a few. If getting in the pond is not your thing, relax in the private hot tub and enjoy the view. There is also outdoor seating both on and off the back deck to enjoy the beautiful Central Oregon air or relax by the fire pit with seating all around.

(written by owner) In 1994 when my husband Cliff and I wanted to move back home to Bend we found this 10 acre lot with a 5 ac pond in the center of it. We fell in love with it and Cliff wanted to build his own Log Cabin so we signed the contract on our 25th wedding anniversary and began the process of finding a log home company that would let us build ourselves. That happened and in 1995 we began to "stack the logs". 2 crazies ( that is us ) in our mid 40's without a clue as to what we were doing "stacked every log" ( that means we took each log onto the sub floor and put it on a cutting deck and predrilled for 12" spikes - nails (old style) and all the electrical and then moved that log to the wall and at first hand put it in place ...that changed and we used an engine hoist mid way up) in the Home ourselves and then Cliff and our youngest son built the rest of the house up to the roof. We have added to our original home twice by an entryway-garage-game room and the Cottage attached apt for my parents. Now that we have retired from building log homes after 20 plus years and around 200 homes in the Northwest, we want to share this special place with you all !
