Bacchus House is the perfect spot if you're seeking complete peace, privacy, and natural beauty. Tucked away in a lovely hilltop location just above the famous sandy Vrika Beach, this charming stone house offers stunning 180-degree sea views that stretch from Mainland Greece to Corfu. It's ideal for a romantic escape, a quiet retreat, or simply a peaceful break surrounded by nature.

The beautiful sandy beaches of Vrika and Voutoumi are only a 10-15 minute walk away. When the beaches quieten down in the late afternoon, you can enjoy pure tranquility as the sea taxis head back, and the soothing sound of waves puts you in a peaceful mood. Outside, you'll find your own private pool and a spacious terrace shaded by trees. Dine alfresco under the shaded area, fire up the BBQ, and take in spectacular sunset views as the waves crash nearby.

# Getting to Antipaxos
- Private Transfer (€100): Pickup at Gaios port, then a sea taxi (20 mins) to Antipaxos and car transfer (15 mins) to the house.
- Departure: Same options—car pick up, sea taxi and car transfer back to Gaios port.
- Want to explore at your own pace? Public sea taxis and private boat hire are also available

# A Few Things to Note
- There are no supermarkets on Antipaxos, so it’s a must to shop before you arrive.
- Some roads and paths are a bit uneven—good walking shoes are recommended.
- Water is limited, so must be mindful when using it.

Wonderful stay in Antipaxos

We had a amazing week in Antipaxos in Bacchus House, a lovely cottage among Fruit and olive trees, in the upper hill of the island. Silence, great views, access to the pool, easy hiking to the beaches. All great, and thanks to George and Sarah for their support. Hope to see you again!

Fantastic escape location..beautiful & peaceful

The property is in a fantastic location for anyone wanting a total escape in the tranquility of Anti-paxos....the property is set at the top of a hill about 15 minutes walk from the beautiful sandy bay of Vrika beach ..there is a superb taverna ( Cedrus beach bar) with a fantastic team of friendly people who will do anything to help you ..even stay open to serve early evening drinks and food ( till 6:30/7:00pm) when you may be the only people there!( as all boats have left by 5pm) ...our hosts George/ Sarah were fantastic and always willing to assist and give advice about Antipaxos and Paxos ....100% would go back again...

A little slice of heaven

If you are looking to get away from it all in the most beautiful setting then Bacchus house is just the place for you! We had 4 fantastic nights here & can’t wait to return! It is a very well equipped & clean little cottage, and the views from the veranda are stunning! The owners, George & Sarah are so helpful & friendly & really go out of their way to make your stay the most enjoyable experience! Vrika beach is truly amazing….stunning azure blue water & white soft sand! Which is just a 5-6 minute walk from the house( but a good 15 minute walk back up!). Well worth the effort! Cannot recommend this little slice of heaven enough! We’ll be back soon that’s for sure! Thank you so much Sarah & George 💕💕

Perfect for us

Perfectly peaceful. Simple and comfortable. The island is beautiful when the day trippers leave it feels like you are the only people there. We walked and swam and ate at a couple of the tavernas. Do note this is not an island for the faint hearted. You have to be relatively fit to walk up and down to the house and down to the beaches etc. The west side of the island is quiet. Actually everywhere apart from Vrika, Mesovrika and Voutoumi is quiet. Rodovani beach perfection. Take mozzie repellent. House v well equipped. We will be back especially as I left my snorkel behind. So a good excuse to return….

George and Sarah have been married for 25 years and have three beautiful girls. George is from Paxos and Sarah New Zealand and they love the simplicity of living between two small Greek Island splitting their time between Paxos in the Summer and Corfu in the winter and school months. In the winter they love renovating and maintaining their villas, collecting olives and in the summer working in the tourism industry renting boats and villas. We have tried to make our villas as comfortable and welcoming as we can.

Why they chose this property

We are priviledged to have inherited this unique property from Georges family and alongside making our own wine, hence the name, we have been renting Bacchus House for the past 13 years. Its secluded location with one the most picturesque views and proximity to the beach makes the perfect getaway to unwind.
