This was a fabulous launching place for our English countryside visit! The house itself is teeming with history and is beautiful inside and out. The location was perfect to make day trips to Bath, and the Cotswolds. We would 100% stay here again.
Fabulous house to catch up with family and friends!
The house was fabulous just exactly as described! Beds were super comfortable! Beautiful village has lots of amenities 2 pubs, takeaway, 2 shops, heritage centre. Everyone was very friendly!
Great home with lots of space in strategic location
This large home had plenty of bedrooms, Beth rooms, and sitting area for our group of 5 women. It is located in a perfect location for day trips to the Cotswolds, Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, etc. the small town has plenty of conveniences.
This house is beautiful and feels like a home from home. The village is gorgeous, and is a perfect base to explore the beautiful countryside of Wiltshire. We loved sitting in the garden with the log burner at night. A perfect house :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westfield Farmhouse Albourne and enjoyed being a part of the village for a week, particulary over the Christmas period. Both Justin and Louise were very friendly and helpful hosts. The village had 2 great pubs, an excellent convenience store and Marlborough was a great town nearby.
Thank you for our stay
Stunning property and everything you need to have a home away from home. Could not recommend it highly enough and very clean throughout. Village is incredibly picturesque and welcoming and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. Wonderful property to spend time in and enjoy the peace - commendable detail throughout.

Smart tv very popular with us
The piano was a bonus for my grandson who plays quite well.Hope to book again next year for RIAT
The home is well appointed and comfortable. It was easy to settle in and the beds and bedding were divine. We stayed for three nights and wished we had booked longer. Waking to birdsong was lovely and the kids enjoyed the large yard. Cooking was a dream in the lovely kitchen, but there are two fabulous pubs within an easy walk. The post office cafe was great and both the deli and the co-op provide shopping. Walking the church grounds at sunset is a must.
We had a lovely week stay at Westfield Farmhouse. The house itself is very pretty, the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and we found it to be cool when returning from our excursions during the heatwave. The property is in a great location to explore far and wide. We found it easy to go up to Oxford and down to Southampton (with everything in between!) The village is lovely for a wander, with The Crown being our pub of choice. Justin and family have been excellent hosts, thank you!
We loved it! The house itself, the way Justin and Louise mixed the modern and the traditional, the huge amount of books and games, the comfy upholstery (though I personally would add a bunch more cushions), the lovely blankets, the sheer abundance of loos (I kid you not), the way no room on the second floor is at the same level and the lovely art and deco touches - it really is outstanding! Thank you for bringing this jewel of a house to life and opening it up for holidaymakers. It was just awesome.
The house was exactly as advertised with the wonderful charm of living in an English village home but with all modern comforts. Everyone was thankful for the wifi and being able to do laundry was very helpful. My son who runs college cross country loved finding different 7-9 mile runs every evening and came home delighted with the views. We all enjoyed the closeness to the coop and the pub.
It was a great to be able to have breakfast each morning and set off on each day's journey knowing we were coming back to an inviting home and a comfortable bed.
We have had nothing but great memories and would definite stay at your lovely home again.
Thank you so much the O'Keefes
We were 4 ladies on a weekend away, there was more than enough room. the cottage was much larger than we expected and there was ample room for 6. I would describe this cottage as robust and not precious, where you don't have to worry constantly about the home or its contents, perfect for smaller children. There was lots in the kitchen, everything we needed, although there is no freezer other than an ice box. The bedrooms were large and warm. You can walk into the village and find a pub with very good food and a grocery shop plus a takeaway. Everything was smooth and no issues. A lovely large traditional farmhouse cottage.
We loved the farmhouse. It was larger than expected. We found it easy to drive around the Cotswolds and do hikes. Sadly. The local pubs stopped serving food Sunday by 6:30-7 pm and were not open Monday.
Wonderful place to meet up - we had a special friends reunion mid week break. Everything as described, beautifully decorated, tasteful but homely. Well equipped kitchen and cosy sitting room with dining table. Lovely to be able to light the wood burner after a days walking. Nice to bump into the host and hear all about the property’s history. Would highly recommend for a relaxing break.
A beautiful property, equipped with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds with quality bed linen. Kitchen has everything you could want! Made good use of the log burner so very cosy in the living room. Lovely private gardens and short walk into the village to shops/pubs. Welcome pack was gratefully received!! Many thanks Justin & Louise, you have a really lovely property which we thoroughly enjoyed staying at.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Quirky Farmhouse
Several problems were insurmountable, and we took most of the week to learn how to live with other foibles. The owner said "It is what it is", and we enjoyed the location if not the property.
Picture perfect, exactly what it said on the tin.
Lovely village, 2 great pubs and an amazing takeaway plus a local Co-op all a short walk away.
Marlborough and Hungerford both only a short drive from the property.
Would definitely return and recommend 😊

About the host
Hosted by justin wright
Hi, my name is Justin, I live with my wife Louise and children just a short distance away in Marlborough. I grew up in Westfield Farmhouse and have done a lot of the renovations. I love the house and the area and am very often working in the village.
Why they chose this property
Enjoy the charm and character of this antique building with all its quirky features. Open up the large gothic doors and enter the attractive Victorian hall. One side of the hall is the cosy country kitchen with wood burning stove and farmhouse kitchen table for fun nights sitting with friends. By contrast, a large elegant Victorian sitting room is opposite also with a wood burning stove with the option for more formal dining. You may hear water bubbling from a seasonal spring that runs though the cellar. There are doors that lead out to the sunny garden & patio area from the sitting room where there is plenty of space to enjoy barbecues and evening drinks. There is a family bathroom half way up the stairs. The large master bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite, the second bedroom also has an en suite with two single beds and there is an option to have a third single bed in there. The third smaller room has a queen size bed with wash basin. A south facing garden has a patio and large lawned area and there is plenty of parking for 4 cars.
We are currently refurbishing the property and will publish the updated photographs as soon as we are able. Please do contact us for further information.
