This cottage offers a stunning secluded break with uninterrupted views.
The wonderful Riverside Cottage, located within 12 acres of private land, offers a stunning secluded break with uninterrupted views across natural farmland. The tree lined River Dove flows gently through the grounds, home to an abundance of amazing wildlife with kingfishers, herons, otters, squirrels and more to see. The cottage has been stylishly renovated to a high standard and boasts picturesque views across stunning Yorkshire farmland from every window. The South-facing sitting room features patio doors which open onto the delightful garden and an enclosed patio bringing the outside indoors, making al fresco dining an easy option and the perfect place to relax in tranquil surroundings.
Ground floor
Spacious hallway. Large well-equipped modern kitchen with solid wood dining table seating eight. Utility room and coat storage area. Cloakroom with wc. South-facing sitting room with wood burning stove and 55 inch Smart television. Patio doors open from the sitting room onto a patio and garden beyond.
Master bedroom with 6’ super-king four poster bed and en-suite shower room. Second bedroom with 6’ zip and link bed which can be converted to two 3’ twin beds on request and en-suite shower room.
First floor
Third bedroom with 5’ king-size bed. Fourth bedroom with 3’ single bed and 2’6 pull out trundle bed suitable for a child. Family bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower.
Outside
An enclosed patio area is accessed via an iron gate or from the sitting room patio doors. and
Guests are welcome to walk the fields adjoining the property respectfully as sheep and lambs graze there. The patio is enclosed. A fence divides the garden from the fields but is not fully enclosed.
The riverbank area with its benches overlooking the river is available for guests to enjoy but care must be taken as the river may become deep and fast flowing at times. There is open access to water so children must be supervised at all times and ideally should be over the age of 5 and competent swimmers (in case of a fall). There is no separating wall between the benches and the riverbank which slopes gently into the water. However, there is a wall dividing the cottage from the river.
Swimming is prohibited as it disturbs the wildlife.

Riverside Farm Cottage is only a few minutes' walk from the bustling centre of the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside which lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. The North Yorkshire coast is easily accessible with the popular seaside resorts of Whitby, Filey and Scarborough all under an hours’ drive away. The area has numerous public footpaths and trails suitable for all levels of ability which lead through beautiful countryside. More avid walkers can join the Coast to Coast path and the Cleveland Way long distance walk which starts in Helmsley.
