About this property
Cosy riverside barn conversion in the Brecon Beacons
Penybont Barn is an old converted farm building full of character, with exposed beams and nooks, enjoying views of the garden and the mountains, and situated in the Brecon Beacons national park. It comfortably accommodates up to 4 people, has been converted to a high standard with all mod cons and has a lovely private garden overlooking a charming stream and the village church.
It has private parking and is in very short walking distance of two local pubs. Brecon and Hay on Wye towns are just a short drive away. It is the perfect location to enjoy life at your own pace.
As you enter the property what grabs you is the quirkiness of the barn, the exposed beams, thick walls and charming features.
The barn is upside down with the kitchen and lounge upstairs. The lounge had a leather couch and comfy chair, an old-fashioned electric stove type fire and a smart TV. The fully fitted kitchen has an induction hob, double oven, fridge, freezer, dish washer, washing machine and slow cooker for all your needs.
The downstairs bedrooms are quiet and cool, perfect for a good nights sleep. Both bedrooms have a king size bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers, and windows that open out on to the babbling brook alongside. The bathroom has a bath and shower which includes a rain option. Bed linen and towels are provided.
The private garden has a covered patio area as well as a lawn with chairs and table and parasol, a perfect location on the riverside to sit with a drink of your choice and watch the sun go down. Access to the river is possible but at guests own risk.
There is private parking for one car on the driveway in front of the property and for two cars inside the private courtyard. Bicycles can be stored securely at the back of the property.
The barn is completely and exclusively available to guests.

About the host
Hosted by Filippo Compagni
We lived in the Brecon Beacons for many years and loved this property for its character, location and unique feel. We loved being able to get walking or cycling straight from from the barn and enjoy a drink and a meal in the local pubs at the end of the day.
Why they chose this property
This barn has plenty of character and unique features such as stone walls and exposed original beams; it is located by a babbling stream. It has a private garden away from the road. The barn is fitted with all modern cons.
What makes this property unique
It is located in a quaint and vibrant village in the Brecon Beacons, with two pubs in easy walking distance (2 minutes and 5 minutes). It is in easy access to all the local walks and only 15 minutes walk to Llangorse lake. A perfect spot to enjoy an active holiday or to relax in a quiet marvellous rural spot.
