Coachman's is an enchanting little getaway perfectly designed for two people
Coachman’s is a self-contained cottage with a beautifully decorated and really spacious bedroom with a zip and link super king bed that can also be divided to make twin beds. The handcrafted tongue-and-groove woodwork, the glowing wooden floor and the soft grey and gentle blue colour palette lend the whole room a feeling of tranquility and romance. The en suite high-spec bathroom with bath and power shower is complete with plenty of large, fluffy towels, soaps, shampoos and hair-dryer. The generous windows make the room very light and the outside door onto a tiny balcony overlooking the valley and the Black Mountains beyond is a lovely feature.
The downstairs living area is open plan and incorporates a cosy seating area with TV in front of the log burner. There is a small kitchen and dining area all the perfect size for two people.

We really enjoyed our stay. The whole place is comfortable. Bed is comfy and the location very peaceful with easy access to Llangasty and Llangors lake.
A gorgeous cottage with fantastic, spacious bedroom and bathroom.

Lovely location
Property was comfortable and had everything you needed loved the nearby horses and peace that this place gave
Would definately look to visit again and would look at the larger one for friends after kindly being shown around by the helpful gardener.
Cosy warm cottage in the perfect location for walks and pubs
The cottage itself was lovely with a log fire, cosy sofa and massive bedroom with the comfiest bed. We were travelling with our three dogs who loved the log fire. The cottage is perfectly located for walking a circular walk around the lake and nice 40 mins down the lanes to the pub. Our hosts were extremely welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away

Wonderfully relaxing
A little oasis of calm, in the grounds of a charming Georgian house. Wonderful scenery, away from the tourist hotspots but still with easy access to the towns and hills. Clean, stylish and just what we needed!

Excellent
Extremely well-equipped, comfortable and warm but arrived and left without contact with anyone. However, not a problem, would simply have been nice to say how much we enjoyed out stay.
Great hosts. Archie was friendly and helpful. All the staff on the site were lovely and chatty. It’s a nice little property for 2. Small but cosy. Very well equipped. Even a nespresso machine. Very comfy bed. Nice furnishings. Comfy sofa. However, it wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. A bit of dust in a couple of places and one of the kitchen cupboards (an empty one) hadn’t been wiped down. Also kitchen units were very tired. Unit doors and work top could do with replacing. And the whole place needs a lick of paint. It they addressed those issues I’d give it 5 stars. Having said that it was priced accordingly and the location was superb.
We have a wonderful last minute short stay. Liza was very accommodating and friendly and we had a lovely home cooked meal. The accommodation is very nice and homely and everything was clean. The bed was very big and comfortable. Great base to explore the beautiful Brecons. Would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely mid-week break in this gorgeous cottage. Ideal location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Loved the massive, comfy bed! Also appreciated a soak in the big bath after a long days walking. Communication with the owner was good & the directions meant we found it in the dark no problem. The setting is lovely- in the grounds of Tall John’s house. Very quiet and amazing stars!! Would love to come again :)
A short stay due to work commitments, however it was the most relaxed we have been in a long time. Lizzie & Ken were the perfect hosts, and the cottage location was in a superb country estate setting. I think the super king sized bed and real feather down pillows were the best thing about a perfect cottage for 2 + a little dog
We stayed after 12 nights of camping and it was just what we needed! Quiet location, huge comfy bed, cosy living room and a great bath. The photos don’t do the coach house justice and we wished we had booked for longer. We will certainly be back.
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely one night stay at the Coachman’s Cottage. The property is perfectly set up for 2 people looking for a quiet getaway. Superb setting and attentive hosts. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful host's, beautiful location leaving with lasting memories.
The first "getaway" post lockdown restrictions.
My partner and I ventured to an area where it all began for us. We were so fortunate to be looked after by such wonderful host's. To Liza, Archie and the happy groundsman - thank you for being great!
The property we stayed at was cosy, comfortable and light and bright. On arrival the table was already set for 2 and logs already prepared for a cosy fire. The downstairs, a living area open plan to the kitchen and dining table, perfect space for 2. The upstairs is massive! Huge bedroom space filled with a large wardrobe, humongous bed and side tables, dresser and a corner chair. Plenty of lighting. The bathroom is spacious with a modern fixtures, tub and shower. The design was lovely throughout.
Exit the property and you are met with a beautiful view, fields surrounding and the odd bench dotted around to enjoy the sun.
We left feeling like we had found a hidden gem and the experience made a happier one due to our host's - thank you both.
Rachel and I had a wonderful time and would love to return sometime! Loki (the fluffy one) thoroughly enjoyed venturing around the garden and had a great time too!
Stay safe.
See you soon!
PS - The firestick was a brilliant addition!
Superbly appointed, with a really comfortable bed, all that's required in the kitchen department, with a really comfy sofa and a very substantial logburner! Very spacious bedroom and bathroom with a great shower!
Lovely peaceful surroundings, with great walks close by.
The Coach House is set in the beautiful grounds of Tall John's House.
What an excellent place to stay!
Lovely little cottage, a perfect getaway for walkers. Secluded with beautiful scenery and lots of walks available from the cottage or a short distance away. We loved coming back to the wood burner after along day's walking. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and would recommend this peaceful place to anyone wishing to getaway from it all with a touch of luxury.

Lovely cottage. Just right for 2 with great walking straight from the door. Details at check in could have been more welcoming and wifi details in book were incorrect. No kindling or paper for log burner on arrival but we did visit in low season!
The cottage was very well equipped and clean. Lovely peaceful location. Heating wasn’t working on arrival but quickly warmed up. Slightly disappointed no one came to everything was ok.
We booked this cottage for a weekends walking and relaxing. It was perfect for both. A home away from home with a lovely fire and big bath. Having had a lovely walk , dinner and a bottle of wine, a proper relax in front of the fire. It’s so peaceful the only sound is birdsong and owls.
Great communication throughout and look forward to returning.
The property is perfect for 2, we had a great time, the location is great. It's easy to pop to lots of places locally. There's wifi, the bed is huge and there's a bath! Hidden places are Ty Mawr (just up the road), the Walled Garden and a bird hide just up the road along a path from the church.
