A Great Place for a Beach-front Getaway!

Casa Contenta is a perfectly located beach-front property on the quiet southern end of Los Ayala. We found our Garden Casita was just as advertised, and we couldn't have been happier! We often enjoyed our morning coffee on the lawn overlooking the beach, when not sitting at our private garden terrace. Our 10-day stay flew by and we were sad to leave. A lovely place to stay!

Another relaxing lovely stay

Lin and Jim are friendly and so helpful. Their gorgeous home and suites are located right on a beautiful white sand beach. The sun was out every day. The water was clear warm and silky. This is the perfect vacation place if you just want to wind down and relax.

Even prettier than photos!

This casita and the surrounding units are truly works of art. The hosts and beach are fantastic. However, lacking A/C and cross-ventilation of ocean breezes, our inside unit was too hot and humid for our aging body thermostats.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It can be quite warm at the end of the rainy seasons. However, I was pleased to provide extra fans for your stay to make it easier for you. Lin

Beautiful, Whimsical, Friendly well Equipped Casita

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Contenta. We stayed in a very comfortable, well supplied ground level casita. As with other units, the casita is decorated Mexican style which added to our enjoyment. The gardens are lovely, location is right on the beach ( close to jungle trails) with ample chairs, umbrellas, and other beach gear! Best of all, Lin and Jim ( and the other guests) are very welcoming and we were invited to 2 gatherings in 5 days. Thanks again for your gracious hospitality.

Peace and relaxation in Los Ayala

Beautiful multi unit homes with loving artistic touches everywhere you look. Linda and Jim where fantastic hosts and looked after any questions or issues immediately. Located right on the beach, the property is safe and secure, and is kept very well maintained and clean. They did have a couple of dogs that were being sheltered until new homes could be found for them. They were occasionally a little noisy but not a big deal. It was very peaceful and pleasant to stay there and we would definitely consider returning.

Hello Nora. I repeatedly mentioned in our correspondence via VRBO that we had only ceiling fans and no A/C so you knew in advance and accepted it. The climate has been unseasonably warm. We had guests who left the day you arrived and they left a 5 star review for the same suite. In fact, the Casita suite repeatedly receives very positive comments and is a guest favourite with many repeat bookings.

My Comments

We were in the Casita for one delightful month (November), and during this time there were few other guests. It felt as though we were in a private club. The development of the property is a delight. The co-ordination, decor and finishing touches are eclectic and quirky, but very effective. This is truly a unique and ideal holiday spot. Samuel and Marisella were extremly helpful and accomodating . I apologize for torturing them with my fractured Spanish. I would highly recommend Casa Contenta to anyone looking for a quiet and restful stay on the beach. The only minor negative comment I have is that the WiFi needs upgrading somehow. Service has limited coverage throughout the property and is sometimes sporadic Overall, a pleasurable experience, and I hope to return.

Nayarit Gem!

A more spectacular introduction to the Nayarit could not be imagined! Lin and James are great Los Ayala and area ambassadors. And, they are the quintessential hosts; so helpful, kind and casually professional. They personally model how best to enjoy the optimal holiday/retirement lifestyle. Moreover, they truly model how successfully one can embrace the local culture and become active members of and a real credit to their welcoming community (of people and dogs alike). Their perfect mini-resort is so perfectly positioned on the perfect soft sand beach. Their stunningly appointed suite(s) so completely relaxing, immediately became our private retreat in their idyllic oasis. Our perfect holiday days there began immediately, continued without a care... and ended all too soon. Everything you truly need to feed your soul is right there at Sunset Casa. Anything you may desire to satisfy your appetite or pamper your self is there too... or only scant minutes away. We are already planning to return with family and friends. As soon as we can we hope to be Lin and James’s guests... or perhaps someday soon... their neighbours! Jane and Bruce Taiji - Lake Country, British Columbia

What a wonderful review, Bruce. Thank you so very much. It was a joy having you and Jane stay with us and hope you return very soon. We treasure our guests ....the plaque outside my office says it all: "Los adornos mas bellos de esta Casa ~ son las personas que la visitan." The most beautiful ornaments of this house are the people who visit it. Thank you for being our guests..
