About the Carriage House:

We have fully renovated the Carriage House with granite countertops and an island that seats four in the kitchen, stainless appliances, granite tile flooring in the kitchen & living room, hardwood floors in the bedroom and a fully renovated bathroom inclusive of a built in travertine shower for your enjoyment. The Carriage House has all new windows and the exterior is a gray shake with white trim.

All of our amazing guests must enjoy a personal 4.0 or higher rating with Vrbo.

The Carriage House apartment is a spacious, charming, fully equipped family friendly home in the heart of New London's beach community. The apartment is quiet, private, attractive and comfortable. Private beach, wide open views of Long Island Sound and on site parking. Your apartment has a private entrance and is located on the second floor above our detached two car garage.

The Space
Our Carriage House apartment has been fully renovated for your enjoyment whether you spend just a few nights or have an extended stay!

The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with an ice maker and a garbage disposal. We have serving sets for eight with our dishes, flatware, glasses and stemware. The kitchen is stocked with coffee and tea along with spices, olive oil and balsamic vinegar to get you started. All-Clad/Calphalon pots and pans, baking dishes and utensils are all included.

The sheets, towels and quilts are 100% cotton, the comforters are 100% down and the pillows are a down and feather mix.

The kitchen table is set for four with views of the New London Harbor Lighthouse. The granite kitchen island has four stools.

The main living space is furnished with a La-Z-Boy queen size sleeper sofa with an air dream mattress, two cushion chairs and a long table and a chair and lamp for your convenience or business needs. Dish Network 120 package and Wi-Fi are all provided.

We have two ceiling fans; one in the main living space and one in the bedroom, along with six windows for an ocean breeze in the summer. There is a Mitsubishi split unit for AC in the living room and bedroom if we have a more humid day.

For your convenience we have a full size washer & dryer along with a laundry basket and detergent on the first floor of the Carriage House. The washer & dryer are in a small room along with some of our personal storage.

Your apartment has its own private entrance with a keypad and is located above our detached two car garage.

Guest Access
We have a keypad on the outside foyer door to the Carriage House apartment and an additional keypad on your second floor entry to the apartment. We will provide you with your personal pin code in an email upon confirmation of your booking.

The Neighborhood
We live in a residential neighborhood so please respect and enjoy the family atmosphere here.

We have miles of sidewalks right outside your door that run along the water. You can enjoy a walk, run or even stroll to one of our local restaurants, ice cream parlors and/or Ocean Beach Park which all are within a 1.5 mile walk for the adventurous. Our own private beach is just across the street to be enjoyed year round.

New London is proud to be home to the Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut College, Mitchell College, Ocean Beach Park and Electric Boat.

Mystic is a 20 minute drive where you can visit the Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, the Village and of course one of a kind shopping in Downtown Mystic.

For some Casino fun we have the Mohegan Sun, a 25 minute drive, and Foxwoods, a 45 minute drive, both nearby.

Drive to Boston or New York in 2 hours without traffic or jump on Amtrak in New London and enjoy the ride.

Getting Around
We live in a residential area so a car is the easiest way to enjoy all of the sites within an hour of our home.
If you bring your bicycles you will enjoy miles of sidewalks along the shore.
Amtrak Train service is located in downtown New London and is a great way to access Boston and New York.
