Nelly's Nook is a cosy apartment right in the heart of Matlock on Dale Road and offers a perfect base for couples to explore the Peak District from. The cosy one-bedroomed apartment has recently been renovated and guests can enjoy the perfect mix of character features and contemporary appliances and modern comforts.

The apartment is located just off the main road in Matlock and is perfectly situated for the town's numerous pubs, independent restaurants and cafes. There are many walks right from the front door and hikers will find this the perfect place to come back to after a long day's ramble in the Peaks.

The property comes with Wi-Fi and all the appliances and equipment required to cook up a feast.

Matlock is an extremely popular Peak District town because of it's central location, good transport links and many shops and attractions. Nelly's Nook is only a sort walk from the train station.

Crown Square and the river Derwent are in the heart of Matlock, while the award-winning Hall Leys Park has its own boating lake, tennis courts and riverside walks. Hall Leys is the first of five beautifully-restored public parks stretching along the Derwent to Matlock Bath - a scenic option for a leisurely stroll.

Central Matlock. Rover parking a must. Lovely park area. Plenty of take away shops and pubs. On the top floor so no good for disabledinfirm.

It was cosy, clean and very bright

It was cosy, clean and very bright. Everything to hand and easy to use. Close to the river and town, either going round the back to the bridge and through the parkdown the road to the main bridge. Easy to got around by public transport, including Matlock Bath, The Heights of Abraham and Bakewell. Cafe's, restaurants and pubs very close by, though the Remarkable hare stood out for food. The only think that had hubby complaining a little, were the stairs LOL. Would definitely stay again if we are ever down that way.

Lovely little flat with everything you need for a long weekend. Great location, comfy bed and sofa. Oven, fridge, hob and shower all work perfectly. Everything clean and nicely presented. Will happily visit again. Please provide a pen so we can write lovely things in the visitors book and we’d advise using sealant around the sink. Thanks for a great stay.

We are both retired and not as mobile as we were. Bus stop literally just outside and train station a very short walk. And lots of shopping close by. Nothing to dislike.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Matlock. The apartment was in a great location - on the high street. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment is on the top floor and, although it is on the main high street, it is very quiet. It was clean and tidy. I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Matlock.

brilliant location. Bonus with having a parking pass. Good short stay accommodation. The key lock was hard to engage to get the keys. The locks on the door were difficult as well. Difficult getting the keys to turn.

Other than the hot water issue on the first night, I had a great time.

Lovely space, in a great location. The first night I had no hot water and it was a struggle to figure out how to get it on. Thankfully I figured it out (with the help of my brother-in-law on FT) but there was no information on how to work this either.

excellent location and spotlessly clean I asked questions about items included in the kitchen and the response back from Finest Retreats was inaccurate which was extremely frustrating. When acting on behalf of the property, they need to contact the owner to get accurate information. It has put me off using Finest Retreats again.

Flat is clean with all things you need for a short stay - washing machine, iron, cooker, microwave, kettle, shower, wardrobe, sitting furniture. Towels, bed duvet cover and under sheets replaced. Fiddly to enter because front door key has to be withdrawn slightly. Summer sun shines through bedroom window blind waking you up too early. A black-out blind is needed.

Just what we needed!

I booked this break for a 2 day break having seen the property on line and picked it out as somewhere I wanted to stay. Everything was exactly as per the photos. Really high quality, lovely and clean, excellent location, very well presented, and quiet. Great for a couples break and so convenient for shopping, walking or just sitting in the local park and watching the world go by. Plenty of places to eat nearby, would thoroughly recommend!

This is a very well-equipped place to stay, located a few hundred yards from the railway station and the town centre, with a view towards the trees of the park, and the hills beyond. I spent two weeks in self-isolation here and became quite comfortable. There is no noise at all from other flats in the building double-glazed windows block out external noise and there’s a quiet air-ventilation system too. All appliances are new, all furnishings comfortable. Very happy to recommend.
