PRIVATE POOL AND BAY VIEWS
Villa Ikaros stands on the hill of Agia Triada village, looking over Rethymno Bay and the Cretan Sea. Have your morning coffee on the sea-view veranda, spend the day by the private pool and watch the sunset from the new rooftop area, which has panoramic views of the sea and the mountains. The pool can be heated in the cooler months for an additional charge.

PRIVACY AND A 2026 RENOVATION
In 2026 the villa was completely renovated, with new furniture, new bedrooms and a new kitchen. The private garden is secluded and well kept, a place to read or rest without being seen. Heating and air conditioning are independent in all areas.

A HOSTED, EASY STAY
We welcome you in person and show you around; for late arrivals a smart lock allows self check-in. A welcome basket waits for you with local honey, raki, Cretan wine and seasonal fruit and vegetables from our own gardens. A traditional Cretan breakfast is offered once a week. Our beach facilities with sunbeds and umbrellas are a drive from the villa and available on request. Weekly cleaning is included and there is parking for 2 cars on the property.

The new kitchen has a refrigerator, oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and espresso and French press coffee makers. Outside there are sun loungers, an outdoor dining area and a barbecue.

PRACTICAL POINTS
Wi-Fi throughout the villa, TV, washing machine, iron, hair dryer, a safe and an alarm system. All windows have insect screens. Hot water comes from a solar water heater, rainwater is collected for the garden, and there is an emergency generator in case of a power cut.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire villa: the house, the private pool, the garden, the sea-view veranda and the rooftop area.

Parking for 2 cars is on the property. From the parking area there are 10 steps up to the villa, with a ramp for moving luggage.

Check-in is from 16:00 to 23:00 and check-out is by 10:00. We hand over the keys in person and give you a tour of the villa. If you arrive late, you can let yourself in with the smart lock, using the access details we send before your arrival.

We meet you at the villa on arrival whenever your arrival time allows, and we contact you beforehand to confirm the time and send arrival instructions. During your stay we respect your privacy and can be reached through the messaging of the platform you booked with. We live nearby and can be at the villa within about 15 minutes if needed.

A guide inside the villa explains how everything works, and we are glad to recommend restaurants, beaches and activities that match your interests. We speak Greek and English, and basic German and French.

Villa Ikaros sits on the hill of Agia Triada, a village above the north coast of Rethymno with open views of the bay. The setting is quiet and secluded, and the neighbouring villages provide the essential services for your stay.

The area offers hiking, cycling and water sports, and traditional Cretan villages are close by.

A car is recommended, both to reach the villa and to explore the beaches and villages around it. We can recommend car rental companies.

Good to know before you book:

- Maximum 8 guests. Unregistered guests and visitors are not permitted.
- Check-in is from 16:00 to 23:00 and check-out is by 10:00. Please let us know your arrival time in advance. A valid ID or passport is required for every guest at check-in, as required by Greek law.
- Quiet hours are 14:00-18:00 and 23:00-08:00. Please respect the neighbours and the peace of the area.
- No parties or events. Pets are not allowed.
- No smoking inside the villa; smoking is allowed in the outdoor areas only.
- There are 10 steps between the parking area and the villa, with a ramp for moving luggage.
- The pool has no lifeguard. Children must be supervised at the pool at all times and no glass is allowed by the pool.
- The pool can be heated in the cooler months for an additional charge.
- Included: weekly cleaning, a weekly change of sheets and towels, and pool maintenance twice a week. Bed linen, bath towels, pool towels, shampoo, shower gel, soap and kitchen basics (oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea) are provided. Additional cleaning is available for an extra charge.
- Available on request for an additional fee: private chef, excursions and activities (hiking, sailing, cooking classes, wine tasting), massage at the villa, bicycle and water sports equipment rental, grocery shopping before your arrival and airport transfers.
