Perfect place to relax and unwind

Great place to stay. Clean and cosy lodge with everything you need. Great area for walks. Close to many places is interest, If you into bird watching, there are many places to visit in the surroundings areas. Cley next the Sea and Rsbp nature reserves.

Perfect Short Get Away

We had a few nights in " Bumble Cottage " ... and it was perfect. The location within the pine forest was fabulous .. and we enjoyed walking the footpaths in the mornings. Was also located very close to Holt town centre , so very convenient ... the " Poppy Line " was also near by , so indulged in a nostalgic Steam Train Ride out to Sheringham ... great fun :-) The property was clean and comfortable , and had everything you need when staying away . It was perfect , and we had a great stay

Great location but the house wasn't that clean , shower walls looked like hadn't been cleaned in months and just looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned , had to move the sofa out to use plug and really dirty behind sofa cobwebs and general dirt , ok wasn't expecting 5 stars but did expect it to be cleaned properly . see below pic of shower ! got to say it's the worst place we have stayed at sadly .

What a gem!

Such a lovely property! Looks smaller From the outside but like a tarsus on the inside. Modern, clean and just perfect for a weekend away. Double bedroom on the ground floor perfect for those struggling with stairs and upstairs bedrooms great for kids. Great location for Cromer, Wells and Holkham and offers a lovely walk in the woods. Shop just Mesmer door in the holiday village but feels secluded and private with no one able to look in.

Peaceful retreat in lovely location

The property is basic but clean and exactly as advertised. Set in a quiet woodland, this place can be used as a base to explore to multitude of interesting places in and around North Norfolk. Perfect for a short getaway.

Based in Kent, we fell in love with the North Norfolk coast 10 years ago, when our son was born and have spent every holiday here since then! We love the big skies and endless white sand beaches and are lucky enough to have this quirky, comfortable lodge, set right in the heart of the magical Weybourne Forest! Steam train journeys, amazing restaurants serving locally produced menus, and seal boat rides are just a few of the activities to enjoy in the local area and Bumble Lodge is perfectly situated near the popular chocolate-box town of Holt to explore everything the North Norfolk Coast has to offer...

Why they chose this property

These are a few of our favourite days out:

Sheringham Park (National Trust) is beautiful (esp in May-July) and just 5 mins down the road, Sheringham Road NR26

Cromer Pier - great for crabbing and Fish n Chips from 'Number Ones’ (great to eat in, at a booth overlooking the sea).

Wells Next to the Sea - beautiful sandy beaches and calm waters. Good pubs and restaurants to eat in on the harbour front…esp The Golden Fleece for pizzas

Holkham Hall - amazing adventure playground set in beautiful grounds. There is bike hire and a lovely restaurant, with herds of deer roaming around a magnificent stately home and boating lake. The Victoria pub is fantastic upon leaving!

Holkham Beach - Britain’s No 1 Beach 2018…absolutely stunning, so vast it never feels crowed, beautiful sand and calm waters

Holt - Holt is fabulous to go for a rummage around the antiques shops and grab a tasty lunch in Bywords, or one of the many pubs/restaurants/cafes.

Pensthorpe Natural Park - Wildlife and Garden Trails in a woodland conservation park , Fakenham, NR21 0LN

Seal Boat Tours - Up close and personal with the seals and their pups, Morston Quay, NR25 7BH

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure - Great Theme park for dinosaur lovers (but more than enough for all children) with deer safari, soft play, splash pools, petting farm, adventure playground and dinosaur trail Lenwade, NR9 5JW

There are endless possibilities, and to be honest, our favourite way to spend our time up here is to explore the forest with a picnic! There are miles and miles of beautiful pine trees and spectacular views!

Bumble Lodge is effortlessly cool with it's characterful A-Frame build and thoughtfully styled interior (think Little Greene colour pallette with Buster and Punch hardware). Warm and comfortable in the winter months, with secluded verandahs to while away the summer evenings over a glass of bubbles, we would love to welcome you to our lodge!
