Photos do not do The Stables justice.

Photos do not do The Stables justice. Very comfortable place, plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 dogs. The kitchen is well equipped, however saucepan lids and serving utensils would come in handy as we ate in most evenings due to Covid. Local area was lovely with a very well stocked shop. However if you need more than basics there is a Co-op and petrol station just a few minutes away in Shillingstone. Amazing location to see all of Dorset with most things being about 45 minutes to an hour away but the drives felt shorter. The owners and neighbours were very accommodating and friendly and were there if you needed them. Had an amazing time and hope to visit again soon Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Wonderful week at the Stables which is a separate holiday cottage on Mill Farm next to the owner's cottage. There is separate drive way with a gate that when closed provides a private outdoor space. There is also a large gated field for use across the road. The location is perfect- just outside the village of Okeford Fitzpaine with its village shop and pub and within walking distance to the larger Shillingstone, which has a Co-op. There are great walks nearby, including Hambledon Hill and also the North Dorset Trailway. It is about 45 min drive to the Coast if you would like a beach. The cottage is comfortable has two toilets and three double bedrooms. Well equipped in the kitchen and the living room has TV with DVD player for rainy days indoors. In summary, excellent cottage and location for a peaceful family holiday in the beautiful English countryside. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
