What better way to enjoy the good life than in a cottage retreat decorated with soft soothing pastels and natural beach décor? This 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom Cottage is just 50 steps away from our million dollar amenities center where you also access the beach. You enter this home through a beautiful white, airy, and spacious kitchen equipped with upgraded stainless steel Bosch appliances, an abundance of counter space, and a bar top with seating for 4. From the kitchen, you will find a large dining table with seating for eight. The dining area flows into the living area, which has plenty of room to lounge in front of the flat-screen TV and gas fireplace. The living room provides easy access to a screened porch and a fenced outdoor living space furnished with a fire pit, BBQ, lounging furniture, and a dining table with seating for four. The master bedroom on the first floor, includes a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, and ensuite bath with a double vanity and oversized walk-in shower. Completing the first floor is a half bath and laundry room. You enter the second floor to a quaint sitting area with a flat screen TV, perfect for the kids. From there you will find both guest rooms. Both guest rooms have private in suite bathrooms, walk-in closets, and access to the screened porch. Two sleeper swings and rocking chairs make this large porch another great relaxation zone. An attached garage stores a cooler, beach towels, an umbrella, and 6 beach chairs for your use. Two driveway parking spaces are located outside. This cottage is the "Osprey" floor plan and accommodates 6. In addition, guests have access to The Cottages at Jekyll Island's million-dollar amenities, which include Clubhouse, zero-entry pool and fitness, beach deck, beach access and a community fire pit.

BEACH ACCESS AT THE COTTAGES
Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a dune area and seawall.
Access Points: There are three dune crossovers to the sandy area, always accessible for recreation. Main access is near the pool and clubhouse.
Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time.
Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.
Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, and we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

We loved the open concept layout with plenty of spaces to step away for quiet and privacy. The condo is beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped. It's just steps away from the pool and ocean access. We watched the sunrise every morning from the boardwalk and were lucky to get out onto the beach early as well during our stay A bald eagle dove down and grabbed breakfast right off the beach in front of us! The bird and marine life in the area is outstanding! Nature lovers will find the location central to so many adventures like Horton Pond (don't miss this!). We rented bikes for the week and a golf cart for a few days. Day trips to St. Simons and Cumberland Island were easy to access. Karaoke night at Tortuga Jack's, sandwiches and desserts from Jekyll Market and breakfast at Sunrise Grill were our favorites on the island. We can't wait to return!

Porch swinging vacay!

Long weekend summer getaway

Looking for a change of scenery we rented two of these town houses with family during the pandemic. We had beautiful kitchens to cook meals in and enjoyed time on the porches, at the pool and on the bike path. Would definitely come again. Thank you for sharing your homes!

Great Trip!

The house was exactly what we needed and were looking for. It was a beautiful home, right next to the beach. Each morning it was low tide and we could walk along the beach looking for treasures and enjoying the sunrise. We could sit outside on the screened in porch and not be bothered by any flies. We would definitely come again! Thanks!

Impeccably clean unit with a fully stocked kitchen. Important to note it has a Keurig and old school coffee maker for whichever you prefer. Probably my favorite thing, though, was the super comfortable bed. All rooms had pillow top mattresses - even the bunks. 2 families of four stayed comfortably. If I were to return to Jekyll, I'd definitely book again. Thank you for everything.

You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the house....everything down to nightlights and bathwash in each bathroom. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need including Saran Wrap and extra trash bags. Little touches like that will keep people coming back! We rented bikes and also the golf cart. What a lovely place and nice area of the island.

Slight malfunction in temperature of refrigerator ~ lost food from fluctuating temps. Froze and defrosted many times. Otherwise, the townhouse and neighborhood were wonderful.

Nice house but terrible gnat/fruit fly problem

The place itself was nice and spacious.l however there was a major gnat/fruit fly problem here that detracted significantly from our stay. We had to google what to do and go buy vinegar to set out bowls. This helped a little but they were everywhere. Even in the refrigerator. We couldn’t eat in the house bc they were everywhere. We had to go out to the screened porch to eat which was the only place they weren’t. It also rained most of the 4 days we were there which didn’t help the situation. Apparently gnats are an issue on the island itself because of the standing water in the marshes and the warm humid climate For that reason I could not recommmend the house or the island unfortunately.

Beautiful property - convenient to pool but limited beach access

We had a great stay Sept 2018 at the Cottages. Unfortunately for us, we learned the week before our travel that the beach access to the lower beach was being removed for our stay. This meant we had to travel to nearby beach access in order to access the beach. With two young kids in tow, this was a bit inconvenient and we may have changed our reservation had we known about this sooner. It meant we spent most of our week at the pool - which was just fine. The zero entry was great for our young kids and the facilities are exceptional. The cottage was beautiful and well-equipped for what we needed in our stay. Allison added a pack and play for our youngest for only $25 for the week, which was also great. The lack of beach access was a pretty big bummer - we could've been anywhere with only a pool, but the facilities here are some of the nicest on Jekyll Island. My advice: check on the construction schedule for the beach access and find a time when you can actually get down to the ocean.

Slightly disappointed.

We had stayed in this home 4 years ago and really enjoyed it. That's why we went back. The home itsself was just as we remembered...great location, spacious and perfect for our family. We arrived late Friday evening. On Saturday we got up and noticed lots of fruit flies in the refrigerator. We called the property manager right away. She said she was going to text someone and they would call us within 30 minutes. She called back 30 minutes later to see if anyone called us and I told her no they had not. She said they are just fruit flies and they don't hurt anything. She asked if we could clean the refrigerator. At this point we had all our groceries so we cleaned the refrigerator and found many more fruit flies in the process. We called back on Sunday with no reply from anyone and the fruit flies returned. On Monday, someone came by to treat for the fruit flies. We were leaving on Tuesday so basically we dealt with the fruit flies the entire time we were there. We had no kitchen towels to dry dishes if needed. There was only one set of bath towels for each person. I feel like the home was stocked better 4 years ago. So we were disappointed with some aspects of our stay. Hope they can resolve the management and stocking issues because otherwise it's a great place to stay.
