Janine could not have been a better host! We had a fabulous time based at the artist's cottage, from where we explored Rouen, Amiens, the Route des Abbayes and Forêt. The house was well-equipped and wonderfully cool amid the high temperatures and the garden was a delight in which to enjoy dinner or drinks. We would highly recommend the cottage and Janine's hospitality.
Lyle and I loved our stay at Janine's artist studio! It was the perfect place for us to base our visit to the Normandy area of France. Janine was very responsive and answered all our questions. The studio was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved eating in the garden in the cooler evenings. WiFi was OK - it did kick us out now and again, but it was easy enough to re-login. There is a Lidl grocery store minutes walk from the studio which was perfect! They have fresh bakery items in the store which was wonderful as in August the local patisserie was closed for summer holidays at the time. I enjoyed walking the town after dinner and found a walking trail very close to the studio! We highly recommend
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place. Janine, the owner, was so kind and helpful. We took the bus into Rouen, and it was close by and easy to use. There are two markets nearby plus a weekly farmer’s market. The kitchen was well stocked and we ate several dinners in after spending full days driving around the easily accessible countryside. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Janine!

Thank you very much for your appreciation. I would welcome you with great pleasure.
A lovely place with a welcoming and helpful host who lives on site. Rouen is easily accessed with frequent buses. The place is secure and quiet (The church next door only rang its bells on Sunday) with a very pretty garden. The garden can only be accessed up a flight of steps outside so not accessible for all. Everything was as described, although the Internet is not fast. We had a great stay at Janine’s place exploring Rouen and the surrounding area.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
For our FIVE night stay, only One small roll of toilet paper was provided. There was a minuscule amount of soap in the bathroom, and no soap or shampoo in the shower. We had to search all the cupboards to find the towels. The bed linen is rough, and the pillow cases don’t fit North American style pillows. On the positive side our host was easy to communicate with, and when asked she gave us extra soap and toilet paper as well as some detergent for the washing machine (much appreciated).I could not find any reference in English to the cleaning fee, but we paid it nonetheless

In a furnished tourist accommodation, shampoo and shower gel are not provided because it is not a guest room; moreover, the bathroom linen is in a closet near the room. You are the only ones who have not found them since I rented this house. There was a whole roll of toilet paper and you had to provide yourself with the additional rolls, the liquid soap was sufficient for a few days' stay. Moreover, I provided you with the laundry when I was not obliged to do so and I responded to all your requests the same evening of your arrival regarding the final cleaning fees. They are noted on the booking site. The sheets are whole pieces of cotton adornments very appreciated by travelers and no one has found them rough to this day. You should read all the comments, which are all very positive. My tourist furnished apartment is classified 3 stars and strictly controlled, and perfectly matches this classification, so I advise you to rent 5-star accommodations in order to meet your requirements.
Was man braucht, ist da.

Het cijfer 3, terwijl u tevreden was, lijkt mij onterecht
Un passionnant séjour dans ce gîte accueillant, calme et chaleureux. Notre belle découverte, c'est Janine, notre hôtesse, dont la sympathie et la générosité, ont si bien su nous faire revivre l'artiste qui vécut en ces lieux, Marcel PELTIER;

What makes this property unique
The key word for this residence is Serenity. The comfort, decoration, and peaceful surroundings allow the residents to recharge their batteries. The garden, protected by the steeple of the Longpaon Church, is a haven of peace just a few metres away from the historic centre of Rouen.
