We stayed at Pike Cliffs in July. The house is lovely and suitable for 4-6 people. We really like the views, and were able to reach Francisco when we got lost getting to the place. Thank you Francisco!
Great views and good mid island location. House had all amenities needed. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the food, wine and friendly Puco people. Good memories had by all.
We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay, using the house as a base to climb Mt Pico, enjoy a whale watch and a wine tour. The host was very helpful with advice and helped arrange the wine tour and driver. The view out the back is beyond gorgeous and it’s a perfect deck to eat all your meals.
The house (or actually 2) is relatively small but with a beautiful view and good comfort. The airconditioners in all rooms are a great asset. The kitchen is rather small but well equipped. We were with 4 people and that was fine. We love to sit on the terrace.
We had a fantastic stay at Pike Cliffs. The location was excellent, allowing us to easily get to Lajes for whale watching and the whaling museum, Madelena for the nearby vineyards (and best grocery store), and, of course to Mt. Pico, which my oldest daughter climbed. The terrain is unique and varied across the island, unlike anything we’d ever seen before. The view from Pike Cliffs was stunning, we never tired of looking over the fields and cows to the ocean. Check out the photos and you will see what I mean. Highly recommend the coastal park leading to Baia das Canas which is near to the house and C Bistro in Sao Roque which was the best restaurant we tried (especially if you like cats!) Francisco was very responsive and with three bedrooms and two full baths we had plenty of room so everyone had their own space. Highly recommend.
Imagine staying on a volcanic stone home that looks like it was made a hundred years ago, but with all the modern amenities and comforts inside. The view is gorgeous and the atmosphere a rural, bucolic joy. There are two small bedrooms downstairs and then a separate master bedroom that you have to walk a step outside to get to. For our family - two parents and two kids it worked out great. The owner was wonderful and generous with information and made checking in easy. Pico is a wonder. Mountains, kayaking, caving.
