About the host

I moved from the USA to the Netherlands in the 1990's and lived in Amsterdam on old Dutch sailing ship in front what today is The Hermitage Museum. Moving to 's-Graveland in 1999 I began a modern art gallery with an active exhibit program of international artists in late 2000 and still operate it today!

Why they chose this property

's-Graveland (meaning land of Count and Countess), attracted me to the 400 year historical shipping canal on one side and the fabulous botanical park and garden adjacent with the broad pastoral views of cows, sheep and forest beyond. The home had been used in various business as an antique shop and now and art gallery and bed and breakfast.

What makes this property unique

You have direct access to the gorgeous botanical garden next store, bicycles with maps, hiking out your door in the botanical forest park directly across from your lodgings! Free access to the Dutch museums. Enjoy the museum feeling over breakfast in middle of an art gallery of contemporary paintings, sculpture and glass all by international artists while viewing the milk cows out of your window.
